“Is this the Chu Ge you mentioned?”

Wu Bo scrutinized Chu Ge carefully.

His cultivation was far inferior to Chu Ge’s, and after a long look, he found nothing remarkable, a hint of contempt flickering across his face.

With an air of seniority, Wu Bo fixed Chu Ge with a stare.

“Young man, you’re just a mere cultivator, yet you dared to strike Tang Song. This matter wouldn’t concern me, but since Tang Song is a friend of my young master, I have to step in.

If you apologize to Tang Song in person and then obediently come back with me, you might avoid some physical pain.”

Chu Ge seemed not to hear him and instead asked, “Your young master is Lin Long, right?”

“Not just Lin Long—Lin Long of Tianjing City,” Wu Bo corrected.

As a cultivator under Lin Long’s command, Wu Bo valued the entire Lin family deeply.

The Lin family wielded tremendous power.

Even the top figures in the cultivation world dared to show them some respect.

Chu Ge nodded. “Good, then I don’t need to waste time looking for anyone else.”

Wu Bo was momentarily taken aback, not understanding Chu Ge’s meaning.

Then, without warning, Chu Ge casually extended his right hand and grabbed at Wu Bo.

“You’re too arrogant, kid!”

Wu Bo didn’t expect Chu Ge to strike first. Anger flashed across his face.

He drew a deep breath and slammed out a heavy iron fist, whipping up a fierce gust aimed straight at Chu Ge’s chest.

Tang Song couldn’t help but cheer inwardly.

Wu Bo’s ordinary palm strike could leave a print on a desk.

Now, fueled by anger, his punch was terrifyingly powerful—enough to crush even an iron man.

Chu Ge was doomed.

Bang!

With a muffled thud, Wu Bo felt as if hit by a train, his body flung backward and embedded in the wall, blood streaming from his seven orifices, lifeless in an instant.

“Master Wu!”

Tang Song cried out in shock, unable to believe what he was witnessing.

Who would have thought the confident Wu Bo would be instantly slain by Chu Ge? The stark contrast left him stunned.

“Tang Song, you still have time to worry about others?”

...

At that moment, inside the private room.

Two voluptuous girls with disheveled clothes nestled on either side of Lin Long.

“Young Master Long, you’re so powerful.”

To curry favor with Lin Long, Tang Song had spent lavishly.

These two women were not princesses from the club but rather small internet celebrities from Jiang City with hundreds of thousands of followers.

Now beside Lin Long, they were as obedient as kittens.

“There’s more power to see later.”

Lin Long grinned and reached toward one woman’s chest, kneading it forcefully.

Having been tightly controlled by his father in Tianjing City for some time, he was bursting with suppressed energy.

“Stop it!”

The internet celebrity giggled shyly, playing coy.

Bang!

Suddenly, the private room door was kicked open violently.

The noise startled Lin Long and the women inside.

Their good time was abruptly interrupted, and Lin Long’s expression darkened, about to lose his temper, when he saw Tang Song lying on the floor like a dead dog, eyes wide open in shock.

Crack!

Chu Ge’s foot pressed down on Tang Song’s body, extinguishing the last flicker of life, then sneered coldly at Lin Long.

“Lin Long, you’ve finally arrived.”

“Ah!”

The sight of the corpse made the women scream and flee, even forgetting to pull their clothes together.

Chu Ge paid them no mind, his gaze icy as he fixed on Lin Long.

Meeting Chu Ge’s cold eyes, Lin Long was startled.

“Brother, I, Lin Long, have just arrived in Jiang City. I don’t think I’ve offended you.”

“Calm down first. Whatever you want, just say it—money, help?”

Being the son of a military big shot, Lin Long quickly regained composure, discreetly reaching for his leather bag.

Inside was a pistol.

The gun was for emergencies and had never been used, as Wu Bo was his real protector.

Chu Ge stared at Lin Long’s unfamiliar face. “You haven’t offended me? Weren’t you going to back Tang Song up against me?”

“You’re... Chu Ge?!”

Lin Long was taken aback.

He had just sent Wu Bo out, and now Chu Ge was here—what a coincidence.

Wait.

Glancing at Tang Song’s corpse, Lin Long suddenly realized something.

Wu Bo was with Tang Song, and since Tang Song was dead, Wu Bo must have fallen victim to this guy too.

“Chu Ge, don’t be so rash. I admit I shouldn’t have targeted you. Give me a chance.”

Lin Long finally drew his pistol and, like a master of disguise, suddenly changed expression.

“You bastard, die!”

Boom!

Before his words finished, Chu Ge kicked out, sending Lin Long flying backward, breaking three ribs.

Spitting a mouthful of blood, Lin Long could barely stand.

Chu Ge didn’t kill him immediately but picked up Lin Long’s dropped phone and dialed Lin Qing’s number.

“Xiao Long, where are you? I need to tell you there might be something big happening soon, so hurry and—”

A strong male voice answered on the other end.

Chu Ge pressed the phone against Lin Long, then suddenly stomped on his groin.

A horrific scream tore from Lin Long’s throat.

Lin Qing on the other end was shocked and shouted, “Xiao Long, what’s wrong? Tell me where you are!”

“I…”

Lin Long opened his mouth but hadn’t spoken when Chu Ge kicked him in the mouth, shattering his teeth.

Gathering the pistol, Chu Ge emptied the entire magazine into Lin Long’s body, each shot missing vital organs.

Finally, he crushed Lin Long’s skull with one last stomp.

Lin Long’s desperate screams mixed with gunfire reached the other end of the line.

Lin Qing’s face darkened like stormy water.

Killing Lin Long now was a provocation, an insult, and a declaration of war against the Lin family.

Chu Ge said coldly into the phone, “Lin Qing, consider this the first gift I’m sending to your Lin family.”

Lin Qing roared like an enraged tiger, “Scum, you’re finished. Don’t ever let me find out who you are, or I’ll make you regret being born into this world...”

Chu Ge had no interest in Lin Qing’s impotent fury. He crushed the phone and set the private room ablaze.

By the time he left the club, it was already six in the evening.

Chu Ge felt a stirring in his heart and looked up at the sky.

An invisible pressure hung in the air, and the horizon was shrouded in dark, oppressive clouds.

Thunder rumbled.

Countless lightning bolts webbed across the sky, as if tearing it apart.

Chu Ge’s eyes narrowed as he stared at the lightning.

They glowed with a strange, blood-red hue.

Suddenly, a torrential rain poured down, stinging his skin painfully.

He cupped the rain in his hand—it was thick and blood-red.

“A sage has fallen, and blood rain descends from the heavens!”

A grand voice echoed in everyone’s ears.

Chu Ge’s pupils contracted sharply, and after a moment’s thought, he murmured softly, “Do you still remember a saying from Earth?”

“What?”

“One whale falls, and all life rises.”
