Fang Juyi and Gu Shuyao scrambled into the car, cursing and grumbling all the while. They told Han Yang to wait, promising to settle accounts with him in a few days. For now, they had to rush back to prepare for the evaluation team from the Baisha Consortium. Tomorrow, Li Tao would dispatch the evaluators to Gu’s Pharmaceuticals. They didn’t have time to confront Han Yang now. Once the evaluation passed and Gu’s Pharmaceuticals officially partnered with the Baisha Consortium, they would return to settle scores with Han Yang.

Watching the Maybach speed away, Han Yang sneered with contempt. They thought Gu’s Pharmaceuticals was about to ascend swiftly, but little did they know a massive trap awaited them.

Then Han Yang entered the Baisha Consortium building and went straight to Li Tao’s office. Seeing him, Li Tao hurriedly stood up to greet him. "Boss, you’re here."

"I have something to discuss with you," Han Yang said.

"Please, have a seat," Li Tao invited.

Once seated, Han Yang continued, "Tell the evaluation team to turn a blind eye during their assessment. Make sure Gu’s Pharmaceuticals passes."

Li Tao asked, "What’s your intention with this arrangement?"

Han Yang explained, "From what I know, Gu’s Pharmaceuticals has long been involved in tax evasion, and Fang Juyi has repeatedly siphoned funds secretly. There are many internal issues in that group. You want the evaluators to overlook these problems, let them pass the evaluation, and successfully sign the contract..."

Li Tao interjected, "After signing, we’ll inject funds into Gu’s Pharmaceuticals. Once the capital is in place, we’ll expose the issues you mentioned. This will force Gu’s Pharmaceuticals into breach of contract, making them liable for massive penalties. When they can’t pay, they’ll have to mortgage the company to Baisha Consortium."

"Exactly," Han Yang affirmed. "The contract drafted by Baisha Consortium is harsh, designed to protect both parties. If the other party violates contract terms, deliberately hiding internal problems, they must pay ten times the penalty upon discovery. Gu’s group won’t be able to afford that, so they’ll have no choice but to mortgage the company."

Li Tao chuckled, "Boss, your plan is brilliant. I’m completely in awe."

Han Yang continued, "Just now, I ran into Gu Shuyao and Fang Juyi at the door. They spoke rudely to me, and I chased them off. They’re rushing back to cover up the group’s blemishes to face the evaluation."

A mischievous smile played at Han Yang’s lips. Without him, there’d be no current Gu’s Pharmaceuticals. The Gu family had deceived him for four whole years. He must make Gu Shuyao pay.

Han Yang intended to reclaim Gu’s Pharmaceuticals, leaving Gu Shuyao utterly destitute. Once her group faltered and the scandal blew up, she wouldn’t even keep her position at the City People’s Hospital. At that point, Gu Shuyao would be left with nothing.

Li Tao said, "I’ll send the evaluation team to Gu’s Pharmaceuticals tomorrow."

"Do exactly as I said. Call me if anything goes wrong."

"Understood, boss."

After a brief chat, Han Yang left. Everything was set; now, it was time to watch the drama unfold.

Meanwhile, at the Weihu Gang...

Underling Bai Mao handed Chen Hu detailed information about Han Yang. After reviewing it, Chen Hu laughed heartily. "Ha! I thought this trash was a disciple of the Grandmaster. Turns out, he’s just a lowlife scum—recently divorced and living in a rundown old neighborhood. Trash like this dares to challenge me? Let me show you how I’ll finish him off."

"Bai Mao, what’s our next move?" Bai Mao asked.

Chen Hu snarled, "Gather the men. Tonight, you lead a team to Han Yang’s house and burn it down. I’ll torch his old den myself. Let’s see where he lives after that, ha ha..."

"Got it, boss!"

Chen Hu had thoroughly investigated Han Yang’s background. He wasn’t a disciple of the Grandmaster at all—just a bottom-dwelling nobody. Such trash was not worth fearing, even if he was a martial artist, he was only a novice. For the Weihu Gang, killing him was child’s play.

Night came swiftly.

After dinner, Han Yang went to his room to meditate. Time passed unnoticed until midnight.

Two vans stopped at the north gate of Fengming Community—a small gate open 24 hours a day. The men got out, carrying weapons, and easily entered the neighborhood. Lao Mao had learned Han Yang lived on the second floor of Building 27.

The floor wasn’t high, easy to attack.

At Building 27, Lao Mao ordered his men to prepare. They wrapped wooden sticks with bandages, soaked them in gasoline, and lit them. Soon, a dozen flaming torches illuminated the old community.

At Lao Mao’s command, his men threw the torches through the second-floor windows. The torches shattered glass and quickly set the apartment ablaze.

Sensing danger, Han Yang sprang up immediately. Instead of rushing out, he first went to the room holding his mother’s memorial portrait. He grabbed the portrait and dashed to the balcony.

Below, he saw a group of men laughing loudly at the floor where he lived.

Han Yang knew these were Chen Hu’s men. They had dared to burn his old home, crossing a line that sparked his deepest rage.

Without hesitation, Han Yang leapt from the balcony.

Lao Mao and his men quickly retreated.

"You miserable dog, you’ve got a lot of luck. I burned your house; let’s see where you live now—you’ll be sleeping in dog holes!" Lao Mao taunted.

"You’re begging for death," Han Yang snarled.

Before he finished, Han Yang closed the distance swiftly and kicked Lao Mao flying.

The remaining henchmen charged at him with weapons.

Fueled by fury, Han Yang seized a cleaver, swinging wildly.

In no time, all the henchmen lay dead in pools of blood, some even cleaved in two.

Seeing this, Lao Mao panicked and fled like a terrified animal.

Han Yang glared at Lao Mao, advancing with the cleaver.

Shaking, Lao Mao pleaded, "Han Yang, let’s talk this out. Don’t be reckless. If you kill me, Brother Chen won’tI'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
