My attention was drawn to the carvings on the tree. The mark before me was far neater than the one I had found under the table that night. The letters “l” and “k” at both ends were clear, but the middle seemed deliberately blurred. I reached out my hand, only to hear a cold warning nearby: “Don’t touch!” Ignoring it, I instead used my hand to trace around the outer edge of the carving and closed my eyes.
In truth, when I saw Gao Cheng’s figure through the light opening, I could no longer remain calm. Disregarding everything else, I struck at the stone with a sharp rock. Yet, the hardness of the stone layer was such that no wear was visible after the strike. Sweat broke out on my forehead as anxiety mounted. I didn’t take my eyes off the light opening, staring fixedly at Gao Cheng.
Xu Ruyun, feigning madness, charged at me, attempting to snatch the phone from my hand. I grabbed both her wrists, twisted them behind her back, and pushed her heavily to the ground.
“What’s going on? Why is the brain missing from the corpse?” Liu Shengqiang exclaimed in surprise after pulling the security guard’s body from the freezer. The guard’s skull was open, but the brain was nowhere to be found.
“Ah, I don’t even know where Yaluo has run off to at this hour. If I’d known it would be like this, I should have brought Gai Luo along. Well, we’ll look for him tomorrow,” Xianglong said, turning to leave.
But in the end, Ning Ling gritted her teeth, believing this might be her only chance. Lin Yixuan was no fool; once he became wary, it would be far harder to act.
“Is that so? I’ll get up and take a look,” Xianglong said as he stood, but a wave of dizziness forced him back onto the bed.
His eyes remained covered by his palm. I didn’t know how to cooperate, so I just lay there, doing nothing.
“That’s Xianglong’s magic. Something must have happened to him. Let’s go check,” Gai Luo said beside me.
Wendy was stunned for a moment before exclaiming, “What!?” As she spoke, her foot stepped onto the energy wave on the ground.
“What should we do?” Lan Yudie panicked. Whether it was the energy of the Dou Qi Continent or martial techniques, she had never seen anything like it. She had no idea of its power, much less how to prepare in advance.
Beneath his feet, the dragon trembled, its dark azure glow flickering as if faced with an unimaginable terror from the depths of hell, lacking even the courage to look it straight in the eye.

Du Youmeng’s face changed drastically. He almost trembled as he uttered the words, unwilling to believe them himself.
Meanwhile, he silently calculated the distance between the two of them, knowing only when the burly man came within five meters could his reconnaissance skills be effective.
“My disciple is so obedient!” Xiao Fei said absentmindedly, but his eyes were fixed intently on her.
Now that Tu Caihua was gone, and with him showing such favor towards her, if Lü Qian did not throw herself into his arms, how could he not feel exhilarated?
As the steel pole spun wildly, dents began to appear on its once perfectly smooth surface, causing shock and awe.
“Yes, Master Patriarch!” Elder Mingyi knelt and bowed before stepping to the left side of the Patriarch’s palace, retrieving a seal mounted on golden nanmu wood from the densely packed golden light treasure box, then returned to the main hall. With a soft “whoosh,” the seal materialized in the Patriarch’s hand with a surge of empty space.
Li Han could never have imagined that his usually poised mother could utter such words—and with such... abandon.
“No problem. We’ll contact them immediately and agree to dispatch an advance team to locate the local main forces. This will benefit the landing operation!” Commander Hu and Commissar Liu nodded hastily.
“You’re making excuses. You killed him yourself. I saw you leave my wife’s room with my own eyes. I warned you, but I never expected you to betray me,” Murong Sheng growled, grabbing Ye Se’s collar.
However, Tang Long discovered they had a mole. After questioning, he learned the mole was called Blue Eagle, but they didn’t know his real name. Li noticed the eagle emblem in Old Wang’s hand and recalled the one on Old Zhang’s.
In the distance, Dog Eye’s lower right abdomen was pierced by a bullet. His face was pale, but he could not help but sneer disdainfully at the shadow.
With no defense, the damaged part was the war machine’s core body. Although the system didn’t specify whether the war machine would be destroyed or vanish, repairing the core would demand immense energy.

Two days later, Zhang Zhen’s constitution had reached B-level, Ying’s was at C-level, and Shelly’s at D-level. Hu Hai had been busy and barely rested, so he was only at D-minus. Yet, everyone’s constitution had moved beyond weakness, with basic defense and escape capabilities now adequate.
When the Sacred Light enveloped this realm, Lin Hao was astonished to find everything seemed to slow down.
Upon hearing Bai Xinyi’s words, Dong Yao’s eyes brightened instantly, and he smiled sheepishly in response.
“Apocalyptic Thunder!? Judging by the name, it should be even more powerful and terrifying than the World-Burning Fire!” According to Feng Shisanlang’s impression, lightning was far stronger than fire. After all, his soul and body had been struck by lightning twice—once by natural lightning, once by a level-three lightning magic.
Liu Hai never dreamed of becoming a ruler or dominating the eight thousand worlds. All he wished was to protect those around him. Everything that happened was because of Old Chu’s words. Liu Hai could only look to Old Chu for help.
With a crisp snap, he thought something was broken, but upon inspection, there was no damage, not even a crack on the display.
As she strode onto the stage, Ye Yizhou, dressed in pink, cast a mocking smile at her retreating figure, his eyes shadowed with meaning.
Finally, after much struggle, the heavenly soldiers managed to put distance between themselves and the demon puppet soldiers, temporarily escaping to a concealed location.
The strongman hesitated, then quickly said, “Alright, I’ll follow your bet.” He slapped a silver coin onto the table.
Wu Zetian nodded: “Indeed. Therefore, Liangzhou City is of exceptional importance to our Great Zhou and must never be lost.” The ministers all nodded in agreement.
