Xu Yaru stumbled and fell directly to the ground! She clutched her burning cheek, staring at Xu Xu in disbelief. “How dare you hit me!”

“You ungrateful girl! Are you crazy?” Xu Jianjun, standing nearby, never expected Xu Xu to strike Xu Yaru right in front of him. He felt his authority challenged. “How dare you!”

“What do I have to be afraid of?” Xu Xu calmly clapped her hands, as if she had just touched something filthy.

Looking down on Xu Yaru from above, she sneered coldly, “Didn’t you just say I hit you? If I don’t confirm it, wouldn’t that be wasting your acting skills?”

Xu Yaru was dumbfounded. The previous Xu Xu had never been this assertive…

“I’ve been holding back for you before. Did you really think I was easy to bully?” Xu Xu curled her lips slightly. “I’m the kind of person who never forgets a grudge!”

“You—you… you’re bullying me!” Xu Yaru was so angry she nearly burst into tears.

Xu Jianjun’s hands trembled with anger.

“I don’t provoke others unless provoked first.”

With that, Xu Xu swaggered over and sat back down in the leather chair.

“Father, you should know my capabilities. I don’t mind, but if someone truly crosses my bottom line…” Xu Xu fixed her gaze on Xu Jianjun, then glanced at the disheveled Xu Yaru as she struggled to get up from the floor. “What Yaru just said—maybe one day I’ll actually do it on a whim!”

Only after they had gone did the surrounding employees start to shout excitedly.

The cheers grew louder and livelier.

Watching her colleagues raise their thumbs in admiration, Xu Xu couldn’t help but smile.

In a distant corner, unnoticed, the head of Sunrise Group—who had witnessed the entire scene—nodded slightly, then took out his phone and dialed a number.

The call was quickly answered, and the executive briefly recounted what had just happened.
