On the other side, Xu Xu chatted with her fans in the livestream room for a while longer before ending the stream.

“Phew…”

Xu Xu let out a long sigh. Today’s livestream had truly been full of twists and turns!

“Better to go to bed early,” she muttered to herself, then prepared to shut down her computer and go take a shower.

But when she looked up, she saw Huo Hanshen standing at the door, bare-chested and only wrapped in a towel.

Xu Xu was stunned.

The perfect muscle lines on the man’s bare upper body were clearly visible—the tight abs and broad chest were enough to make anyone’s heart race!

Leaning against the door, Huo Hanshen tilted his head slightly and smiled at Xu Xu. “Are you planning to sleep in the master bedroom tonight, or the guest room?”

Especially with his hair still damp, droplets of water clinging and then slowly rolling down from his hair, across his chest, down his abs, and finally disappearing into the towel…

Xu Xu stared blankly, completely forgetting the earlier irritation she had felt because of her mother.

Her face quickly flushed a visible shade of red, and it took her a long moment to regain her composure.

“Ahem…” Xu Xu coughed awkwardly, her eyes darting away from Huo Hanshen’s gaze. “Um, the guest room, I guess.”

If there had been a mirror nearby, she would have seen her reflection turn bright red instantly.

“But…”

Huo Hanshen crossed his arms and stepped into the study, closing the distance between them one step at a time.

Xu Xu instinctively took a step back, but the next moment, she was pinned against a chair by Huo Hanshen!

“Hey! What are you doing?” Xu Xu was startled, her eyes wide as she stared at him just inches away.

His raw masculine aura was overwhelming, and above all—he was half-naked!

“But the guest room isn’t made up yet,” Huo Hanshen whispered close to her ear.

His warm breath was right on her earlobe as he spoke softly.

“I-I’ll go do it myself!” Xu Xu stammered, her ears burning red as if they might bleed.

Afraid he might say more, she slipped out from under his arm and tried to leave the study.

But after just one step, her hand was grabbed by Huo Hanshen.

Xu Xu froze and turned to look at him, only to find him gazing deeply into her eyes.

“Wife, we’re legally married now. Is there something you’re unhappy about?”

Despite being over six feet tall, his voice was sticky and soft, even tinged with a hint of hurt.

The contrast melted Xu Xu’s heart completely.

Good heavens, this man was too skilled at this!

As for being unhappy…

Her mind flashed back to that night when she was drunk with Huo Hanshen, and her face turned even redder!

She wasn’t unhappy—far from it. She was just scared because she was too satisfied!

If it happened again… it would be deadly!

Seeing Xu Xu’s face grow redder and her words falter, Huo Hanshen gently released her hand.

His wife was just too shy—what could he do?

“All right, I’ll go make the bed,” Huo Hanshen said softly, no longer pressing the issue.

He turned to leave for the guest room.

Watching him being so understanding, Xu Xu felt a pang of guilt.

“Am I… being too much?”

She bit her lip, wrestling with her thoughts.

“After all, what was meant to happen between us already has, and we’re legally married now. Sleeping apart… doesn’t really make sense.”

Taking a deep breath, she clenched her teeth and stepped forward quickly, grabbing Huo Hanshen’s hand.

He looked at her in surprise.

“Don’t make the bed. I… I want to sleep in the master bedroom,” Xu Xu said, blushing deeply. “I just need to take a shower first!”

After saying that, she felt like her whole body was on fire.

Without waiting for a reply, she hurried into the room to grab her clothes, then dashed to the bathroom in a flurry.

Seeing her flustered state, Huo Hanshen couldn’t help but smile.

Why was his wife so adorable? She was simply irresistible.

In truth, he didn’t insist on sleeping with her if she felt uncomfortable.

Carefully, she approached the bed to turn off the light.

But having stayed in the bathroom so long and without shoes on, she slipped just as she reached the bed!

Instinctively, she tried to steady herself by reaching out to grab something, but her hand landed on something hard and cylindrical.

She quickly pulled her hand away, panicked, and tried to get up.

Before she could stand, strong arms pulled her back down.

Xu Xu was stunned and looked down—only to meet Huo Hanshen’s clear, piercing eyes.

He hadn’t been asleep at all.

There was no trace of drowsiness in his gaze; instead, the recent accident had sparked a clear lustful look.

Even his exposed skin was flushed with a faint pink hue.

Xu Xu was scared, swallowing hard as she tried to explain, “I’m not—”

But before she could finish, Huo Hanshen silenced her with a fierce kiss.
