Chapter Fifty-One: The Man Behind Xu Xu

Xu Jianjun suddenly raised his head, staring at Xu Xu with utter disbelief, his voice hoarse as he asked, "What... what did you do?"

Xu Xu arched an eyebrow and gave a light chuckle, "I didn't do anything. I simply sent my resignation letter to the board members once more."

"You!" Xu Jianjun trembled all over with rage. Just as he was about to erupt, his phone started vibrating frantically again.

He answered the call, and his subordinate's anxious voice came through the receiver, "Chairman, it's bad! The company's shareholders found out that Director Xu is resigning, and they've started dumping their shares collectively. The stock price is in freefall, and senior executives are resigning one after another. The company is in total chaos. Please come back and deal with this immediately!"

With a pale face, Xu Jianjun hung up the phone. He looked at Xu Xu with eyes filled with fury and terror, "You ungrateful wretch! I raised you with so much hardship, and this is how you repay me?"

Xu Xu sneered, "Didn't Chairman Xu just say I am not of the Xu family's bloodline? Then why should I remain fiercely loyal to the Xu Group?"

Huo Hanshen watched his wife's performance, a flash of admiration gleaming in his eyes.

He gently held Xu Xu's hand and said to Xu Jianjun, "Instead of wasting time shouting at my wife, Chairman Xu would be wise to hurry back to the company. If you go too late, there's no telling whether the company will still carry the Xu name!"
