Shao Feichen struggled to suppress the urge to cover his face and spoke harshly in a low voice to Gu Sihui, “What nonsense are you spouting? Shut your mouth right now! Do you even know what a Level 5 pharmacist means? Even our top pharmacists here only reach Level 5!”
Gu Sihui was momentarily stunned but didn’t take his words seriously.
Having scraped through the world of herbs and medicines for over twenty years, what did it matter even if she was the highest level?
She was confident in that.
“If you really manage to obtain the Level 5 pharmacist qualification by tomorrow, then it wouldn’t be impossible for you to take Xuanwu away,” Heng Binwei declared firmly.
Bai Nanyan lost her composure and frowned as she looked at him. “Duke Wende, that’s not what we agreed on. You don’t understand my sister. She wouldn’t hesitate to sell Xiao Qing for a bottle of healing medicine. If Xiao Qing falls into her hands, he’ll surely die.”
“Got a problem? If not, go home and eat more salt instead of stirring up trouble here,” Gu Sihui snapped, utterly annoyed by Bai Nanyan.
She finally understood why the secondary female leads disliked her so much.
They were nothing but hypocritical white lotuses, pretending ignorance while fully aware.
“Sister, I’m just stating the facts,” Bai Nanyan said with a headache, glancing at Gu Sihui. “Didn’t you sell Xiao Qing for healing medicine for Xiao Mo?”
“Mind your own business,” Gu Sihui retorted without even looking at her, snorting, “He’s my husband; I do whatever I want with him. But what about you? Don’t you have a husband? Why are you always staring at someone else’s?”
As she spoke, Gu Sihui looked pointedly at Xi Mo.
Xi Mo immediately rebutted, “I chose to stay by Yan’er’s side. Gu Sihui, if you don’t reflect on your own malice and keep nitpicking others, no one will ever like you.”
Xi Mo fixed his gaze on Gu Sihui, speaking each word with weight: “You will never be able to surpass Yan’er in your entire life!”
If the original wife were standing here, she would have gone crazy, rushing forward to beat Bai Nanyan and crying to keep Xi Mo.
Then, because of her hysterical behavior, she would be scorned further by several beastly men.
But now, standing here was Gu Sihui, who not only didn’t care but found it utterly baffling.
“Are you sick? Always so obsessed with comparing yourself to others? She died earlier, and you’re still alive—what are you even doing?” Gu Sihui snapped again.
After being snapped at once more, Xi Mo was silent for a long moment, then his expression softened with concern.
Hesitantly, he asked, “Are you… not feeling well?”
“What? Not licking you means I’m sick?” Gu Sihui found it ridiculous when angry and scoffed, “I think you’re the one seriously ill.”

A playful smile curled at Gu Sihui’s lips as she looked at Xi Mo. “By the way, ex-husband, did your goddess prepare any healing medicine for you? No way. Your tail was broken to save her, right? Don’t tell me you want me to be the sucker who treats you guys?”
Xi Mo’s face instantly darkened.
Thinking it over carefully, Bai Nanyan had only expressed verbal gratitude, painting some sweet illusions, but hadn’t actually given him anything else.
Xi Mo’s complicated gaze fell on Gu Sihui.
Though she was harsh to the other four people, she had always treated him like a precious treasure, protecting him as if afraid to break him.
He felt oddly uncomfortable.
Bai Nanyan keenly noticed the change in Xi Mo’s mood. After a moment of hesitation, she produced a bottle of purple-quality healing potion.
“I begged a lot of people and finally got this,” Bai Nanyan said, lowering her eyes to hide the disappointment beneath. “I just got it today. I originally wanted to give you a surprise tonight…”
Her voice dropped, and Xi Mo instantly felt heartache, glaring angrily at Gu Sihui. “You vile woman, do you die if you don’t stir up trouble every day?”
“Oh, haha,” Gu Sihui covered her mouth with her palm and let out a cold laugh, glancing sideways. “If you can’t handle it, don’t blame the road for being bumpy. You’re so sensitive and won’t even let others speak?”
Xi Mo wanted to say more, but Gu Sihui grew impatient. “I don’t want to talk to you. I came here to take Gong Zhengqing.”
She looked at the amused Heng Binwei and asked seriously, “Duke Wende, if I obtain the Level 5 pharmacist qualification, will you release Gong Zhengqing?”
Gu Sihui played a trick, but Heng Binwei didn’t catch on and nodded generously. “Yes.”
“During my exam period, you cannot harm or abuse him in any way,” Gu Sihui added another condition.
“No problem,” Heng Binwei agreed readily.
“The exam is tomorrow. For my safety, you must provide me with a place to stay,” Gu Sihui thought for a moment and added, “And you have to take care of the exam arrangements.”
After this first encounter, Gu Sihui realized Bai Nanyan wasn’t the eternally optimistic and kind little angel described in the book.
Who knew?
Although she didn’t understand why there was such a discrepancy, having transmigrated as the villainous secondary female lead, what did it matter if the heroine had some different characterization behind the scenes?
She couldn’t escape it anyway.

At night, inside the luxurious guest room.
Shao Feichen scowled as he sent messages to the other three, informing them of his and Gu Sihui’s whereabouts.

Gu Sihui whispered softly, “They clearly said they’d arrange two rooms for us. Why do you insist on sharing one?”
Thinking of a certain possibility, Shao Feichen immediately crossed his arms, glaring at Gu Sihui warily. “No way, don’t even think about it!”
Gu Sihui was admiring the sumptuous and elegant décor typical of a Central European noble’s guest room and didn’t react immediately.
When she came to her senses, she exploded, “Are you crazy? Would you have inappropriate thoughts about your own pet dog?”
“Pet dog? You’re calling me a pet dog?” Shao Feichen stomped angrily, pointing at Gu Sihui with fury. “Divorce! I’m definitely divorcing you!”
“Oh.” Gu Sihui replied coldly, pointing with her porcelain-white finger to the corner. “Go back now. That’s the kennel I had prepared for you.”
Shao Feichen’s gaze followed, and he was shocked to see a dark red velvet doghouse embroidered with an exaggerated dahlia on the floor.
“Gu… Sihui!” Shao Feichen roared in rage, “I’m going to kill you!”
“Oh,” Gu Sihui craned her neck toward him and shrugged carelessly. “Come on, come catch me here. If I die, you all are coming with me to the grave. You and your so-called brotherly bond, huh? Come on, friends for life.”
“I can’t give you the same birth year, month, and day, but I can make sure you share the same year, month, even the same minute, the same second—gah!”
Shao Feichen was even more enraged by Gu Sihui’s sharp tongue.
Yet Gu Sihui acted as if nothing was wrong and casually went to the bathroom to change into a bathrobe the maid had brought.
“Go ahead,” Gu Sihui signaled to Shao Feichen with a glance.
“Go where?” Shao Feichen asked, puzzled.
“To wash dirty clothes, of course,” Gu Sihui said, even more baffled, with a raised finger, thinking only of herself. “Or did you want me to wash them?”
Shao Feichen: ...
Ahhhhh!
Damn it!
I can’t take it anymore!
Divorce!
He definitely, absolutely, had to divorce her!
