Just as the dagger was about to descend, the old man suddenly opened his eyes and shoved Baili Yanhong away with all his strength.

“Granddaughter, run!”

With that, he stamped hard against the ground, sending his entire body hurtling forward.

The dagger drove viciously toward Blood Dripper’s throat, but Blood Dripper did not retreat in the slightest.

Instead, he met the old man head-on with astonishing speed.

The two were already within arm’s reach. The dagger was about to pierce the other man’s neck when, all at once, a tremendous force of inner power clamped down on the old man, followed by another immense force that burst from his chest.

The old man was sent flying. When he landed, he lay crumpled on the ground like a withered leaf.

“Know your place! You think you can hurt me?”

The old man crashed heavily onto the ground, barely clinging to life.

Blood Dripper advanced step by step toward Baili Yanhong. The old man stretched out a bloodstained hand and shouted at his granddaughter.

“Quick… run!”

As Blood Dripper drew closer, Baili Yanhong felt a powerful force seize her, leaving her unable to move.

The cold dagger was about to plunge into her heart when—

“Clang!”

A pebble knocked the dagger from Blood Dripper’s hand. Clutching his numb fingers, Blood Dripper turned around.

Li Mu stood there, casually tossing pebbles in his hand.

“Who gave you the nerve to kill someone in front of me?”

Those words alone struck Blood Dripper with overwhelming intimidation.

Yet Li Mu merely smiled indifferently.

“Another fish slipped through the net?”

Blood Dripper regarded Li Mu with interest. He had not expected the young man to evade his earlier attack.

“Young sir, this has nothing to do with you. Leave quickly!”

The old man forced out those words between ragged breaths before collapsing onto the ground.

Baili Yanhong also stared intently at Li Mu, urging him with her eyes to leave at once.

“Leave? Today, not even a fly in this courtyard will get out alive!”

Li Mu tossed the pebble in his hand into the air.

“I never intended to leave before killing you.”

“Kill me? What arrogance!”

It was probably the funniest joke Blood Dripper had ever heard. To this day, no one capable of killing him had even been born—or reincarnated.

Baili Yanhong parted her pale lips.

“Young sir, you should not wade into this mess. Leave while you still can!”

The old man wanted to continue persuading him, but the moment he opened his mouth, mouthfuls of blood gushed out, leaving him unable to utter another word.

Li Mu, by contrast, looked as relaxed as a man watching monkeys fight.

“Is this Blood Dripper really that powerful? I do not think I have ever heard of him.”

Blood Dripper fixed Li Mu with a pair of scarlet eyes.

“Everyone who has heard my name has already reported to the Hall of Yama.”

Since this man was determined to die, Blood Dripper could only grant his wish.

As he spoke, a flash of silver streaked through the air.

It shot straight toward Li Mu’s neck. In the next instant, Li Mu’s entire body rose into the air.

Blood Dripper had never imagined that anyone in this world could evade his attack.

He froze in astonishment.

Then a blurred afterimage shot rapidly toward him.

He could not even make out Li Mu’s figure, much less determine where the attack would come from.

He had always relied on speed to defeat his enemies, but was this arrogant young man actually faster than he was?

Impossible!

He refused to believe it!

By the time Blood Dripper recovered his senses, Li Mu was already standing before him, a careless smile still playing across his face.

Suddenly, an immense force exploded from Blood Dripper’s chest and spread throughout his body.

He had not even seen Li Mu move. Yet he was already flying backward like a kite with its string cut.

His internal organs and every meridian in his body seemed to split apart beneath the torment of countless blades.

He could feel his body bursting apart piece by piece, disintegrating into fragments.

The pain wracked him with spasms. It was as though a pair of enormous hands had seized every joint in his body and were slowly crushing them.

By the time he struck the ground, he no longer possessed the strength to resist.

He lay there limp, like a torn rag.

“I do not believe it. How could you possibly—”

Li Mu merely brushed off his hands, calmly lit a cigarette, and said, “Whether you believe it or not, what difference does it make? Someone on a wanted list actually dares to act so brazenly? I seem to remember that your kind has rules against disturbing ordinary mortals. You, however, appear to be someone who does not follow rules.”

Every word Li Mu spoke struck Blood Dripper’s heart like a heavy hammer.

Ordinary people had no way of knowing the names on the wanted list. How had this man realized that he was one of the wanted?

Could he be the legendary Judge?

It was said that no one had ever seen the Judge’s true face. No one even knew whether the Judge was a man or a woman.

All anyone knew was that the Judge concealed his true abilities deeply, while possessing unprecedented martial prowess.

A vicious glint surfaced in Li Mu’s eyes.

“Everyone who knew my identity is already dead. I intended to spare your life, but you know far too much.”

As he spoke, he reached down and lifted Blood Dripper from the ground, failing to notice the silver needle clenched in Blood Dripper’s hand.

It was his final escape route.

As long as the needle pierced his opponent, not even the greatest immortal could save him.

But before Blood Dripper could strike, a palm descended upon the top of his head.

A primordial force suddenly poured into his body through his crown.

The force swept through Blood Dripper’s entire body like an endless, raging flood.

He spat out a mouthful of blood. Then his wide eyes gradually lost all light.

The grandfather and granddaughter stared at the scene in bewilderment.

Who exactly was this young man?

How could he be so powerful? Blood Dripper, a figure whose strength had seemed utterly beyond their imagination, had actually been killed just like that?

“We cannot stay here any longer. No one can learn what happened here.”

The grandfather and granddaughter hurriedly nodded.

“Young sir, I will take care of everything else. Please… let my granddaughter drive you home.”

Li Mu did not refuse. He nodded.

Why not? Who would turn down a beautiful woman as their driver?

Sitting behind the wheel, Baili Yanhong felt more nervous than she ever had before.

Her face seemed to remain permanently flushed. She could even see her crimson cheeks in the rearview mirror, glowing with a faintly alluring luster.

Li Mu glanced sideways at Baili Yanhong. This woman was irresistibly seductive.

Never mind her beautiful face—even a man would find it difficult to resist such a perfect figure.

Li Mu’s heated gaze made Baili Yanhong even more restless. She glanced around at the desolate countryside, where not a single person could be seen.

If Young Sir wanted to do something to her, she would have no way to resist. Besides, he was the man who had saved her life. Even if he did something to her, it would only be natural.

At that thought, Baili Yanhong gritted her teeth.

Rather than wait for Young Sir to make the first move, she might as well take the initiative.

Suddenly, she slammed on the brakes and brought the car to a stop.
