An Xia saw that the forty-something man in the middle possessed an imposing air that commanded respect without anger. Although she did not know his exact identity, judging by the way everyone around him looked at him, he was clearly the highest-ranking leader there.
“No, Mr. Lu!” An Xia suddenly reverted to calling him Mr. Lu, her expression utterly earnest.
Jian Han was dumbfounded. He muttered inwardly that the man’s smile was astonishingly beautiful—when he smiled, it was as though thousands upon thousands of pear trees had blossomed, a spring breeze brushing one’s face, brilliant and dazzling like fireworks bursting across the night sky.
Whenever he spoke with his master, he had never once gained the upper hand. No matter how one put it, he was always the one in the wrong.
But before he could enjoy his triumph for long, the other man flung away his hand, dropped himself straight onto the ground, and began howling at the top of his lungs.
After Han Lianyi transfused the four hundred cubic centimeters of blood donated by Han Ziye, the blood loss still showed no sign of being brought under control.
Pei Chenyu’s expression was equally grim. He looked at Jian Han as though he had caught a wife cheating on him, his eyes filled with accusation.
An Xia was just about to offer some words of comfort when a commotion came from outside. The village chief entered, supporting the elderly Dezhong. An Xia and An Jiaye both rose at once, each calling him Great-Grandfather and Grandfather respectively—proof of how exalted the old man’s seniority was.
The thoughts that had originally been focused on Lu Chuan before shifting to Tushan Yue now returned to Xia Tian.
Ai Yu merely imitated her movements, clinging on with difficulty. Her dance steps repeatedly fell out of rhythm, and the sequence was reversed, yet remembering such a complicated process at all was no small feat.
Only then did Hua Can notice that Wuhuan and Suwan were dressed far more formally than usual today. There was little doubt that they were going to honor an appointment.
Su Feng dribbled slowly. Although the Baltimore Bullets had tied the score at a crucial moment, he did not panic. The point guard glanced left and right, seemingly observing the defense and watching his teammates’ movements.
At present, the headline on the newspaper lying on Macky Gonzalez’s coffee table was still the prominent story about Su Feng leading England’s basketball team to make history. I hate to admit it, but the truth was that Su Feng’s current status and strength were indeed unmatched. If you went to Dallas, Macky Gonzalez would become a follower of Dirk and Su Feng.
With that, he swung a fist at him. Ye Feng felt a chill brush across his back, stepped aside, seized the fist, and twisted it with the motion. Then he kicked the man in the face, sending the burly figure flying to the ground with blood streaming from his nose.
Had anyone been there, they would surely have been astonished. Only a powerful cultivator capable of projecting their Nascent Soul from their body could accomplish such a feat.

Su Ming had not finished speaking when Yi Hongyuan interrupted him. As if joking—how could she possibly stand by and watch Su Ming encounter danger?
Although the house looked as though it had been burglarized, Li Hongyun was not nervous in the least, because there was nothing valuable in the house to begin with.
The ruler of Nanshan Kingdom was an ordinary man, but he nevertheless possessed the fortune of an entire nation. That fortune had protected him for countless years.
Lin Nuannuan furrowed her brows slightly. It seemed these two had not merely been together for a day or two; they had already reached the stage of pledging eternal love.
Again and again, I apologized to Ming Si in my heart, but Ming Si could not hear me.
Because Nangong Jinghong had never appeared beside Ye Jinmu, he had truly never paid much attention to her before.
Hmm. Since Banruo’s expression was not abnormal, perhaps I was simply being overly sensitive and had heard incorrectly.
“Do you have a lot of troubles?” Ye Li could not help asking again. Only after the words had left her mouth did she remember that he had just rebuffed her. Her spirits immediately sank, and she lowered her head once more.
Ake had no idea what was wrong with her, but Gao Jianli understood. Though his emotions were complicated, he could not ignore the trace of delight rising within him.
“Go work the promotion booth.” Ye Li ate two bites of cake. She had barely eaten at dinner, and because she had been drinking, she was genuinely still quite hungry.
“What are you thinking about?” Qi Xuyao noticed that Bai Wei had been staring blankly for some time and waved a hand in front of her.
Xue Mingrui could not help picking up the teacup he had set down and bringing it to his lips, concealing the corners of his mouth as they curled ever higher. He began drinking his tea with calm composure.
Her smile unconsciously took on a seductive quality. Hu felt his heart suddenly pound violently, and his face grew even hotter.
Seen in this light, the fivefold increase in prosperity demanded by the mission was not especially high after all. Basically, it merely required the inhabitants of this territory to escape poverty and scrape by with enough food and clothing.
When they pushed open the door, they discovered that this was the master bedroom. The two exchanged baffled looks. How could this possibly be a bathing area?

The people immediately looked around, but saw nothing at all. The street was blocked, and there was nothing nearby that could have produced such a sound.
Before launching their uprising, most of the Yellow Turban commanders had been commoners. Naturally, they could not cultivate vital energy, so they could only continuously increase their baleful aura through slaughter. Their presence was murky and violent, but their destructive power was sufficient.
Kaos laughed loudly and ran behind Pengul. The two stood back-to-back, their breathing heavy from the intense exertion.
It could be said that obtaining it before the Sacred Insect matured, refining its vital essence, and absorbing it would be absolutely no less valuable than sacred blood essence.
Holder had already thought of a name, but he could not bring himself to believe it. He wanted to hear Rod tell him personally.
When Zhou Zhou appeared outside his own home, the young man glanced at him but did not realize that he was the owner. He assumed Zhou Zhou was merely a resident from upstairs or downstairs. It was not until Zhou Zhou dismantled the security camera by the door, causing one of the images on the computer to suddenly go black, that the young man reacted.
The old duke was already furious. He waved his arms incessantly from the sidelines, while the fans in the stands unleashed deafening boos. The problem was that none of it made any difference.
Xu Xian was no longer the innocent, clueless, adorable girl she had once been. Seeing Yoon-ah like that, together with someone’s disgustingly smug smile, made it difficult not to understand what was going on.
“Nothing. I don’t have a live-streaming system, but I’ve seen plenty of live streams before, so they aren’t unfamiliar to me!” Ji Ning explained.
Meng Jingye still did not speak, afraid that if he told the man he was not his son, the man would become agitated and do something even more extreme. If that happened, disaster would be close at hand.
“Break for me!” Qingyang’s bones and sinews crackled throughout his body. He pushed himself almost to the limit, gritted his teeth, and brought his blade down with all his strength. With a thunderous boom, and under the Sword Slave’s incredulous gaze, his Sword of Space was forcibly shattered.
Just buying such a bare aircraft would cost 36.85 million dollars. The price of the interior renovation would depend on Yang Guang’s specific requirements. Without anything especially elaborate, it could be completed for around two million dollars, and delivery would take no more than a month and a half at the latest.
“It’s a pity that your reversal of time has no effect on me. Otherwise, I would gladly return to the past and see my parents one more time.” Wang Lin narrowed his eyes and spoke with a trace of loneliness.
