They dispatched a vanguard fleet composed of several massive dark warships, each surrounded by dense, tendril-like dark energy that stretched through space like the grasping limbs of a demon.

Students donned their Starlight gear, assembling aboard warships and within defensive fortifications. Lin Yu was assigned to a main battleship, standing on the command platform as he watched the Shadow Clan’s fleet steadily close in on the display screen, his heart pounding with a mix of tension and anticipation.

“All personnel, prepare for combat! Activate Starlight Shields!” the captain ordered. Instantly, a pale blue glow enveloped the warship, mirrored by other ships and defense installations. The planet that housed the Super God Academy seemed to be encased in a delicate blue shell.

The Shadow Clan’s vanguard fleet entered attack range and launched a relentless assault. Dark energy beams rained down on the academy’s defenses, splashing off the Starlight Shields in ripples of black energy. The academy’s warships retaliated fiercely, firing Starlight Energy Weapons. Beams of radiant energy crisscrossed the void, illuminating the dark starry sky.

Lin Yu manned a Starlight Energy Cannon calmly and resolutely. He targeted one of the Shadow Clan warships and pressed the firing button. A thick blue beam surged forth, striking the enemy vessel. The warship trembled violently, its dark energy briefly thrown into chaos.

“Well done! Keep firing!” the captain shouted excitedly. Yet the Shadow Clan was no foe easily defeated. They swiftly adapted their tactics—some warships pressed the frontal assault on the academy’s defenses, while others maneuvered to flank and penetrate from the side.

The Super God Academy’s fleet was forced to divide its forces, creating gaps in the defenses. Seizing the opportunity, a Shadow Clan warship broke through the Starlight Shields and charged toward the planet. Seeing this, Lin Yu volunteered to lead a squadron of small fighters to intercept.

“Lin Yu, be careful!” the captain cautioned. Lin Yu nodded and led his squadron into the fray. As they closed in on the Shadow Clan warship, enemy fighters swarmed to intercept. Lin Yu piloted deftly, evading attacks while launching Starlight energy bursts in counterstrike.

“Maintain formation! Stay calm!” Lin Yu commanded over the comms. Amid fierce aerial combat, they gradually closed on the warship. Seizing a moment, Lin Yu dove his fighter toward the vessel’s engine core and fired a specially designed Starlight energy missile. The missile struck precisely, triggering a massive explosion. The Shadow Clan warship disintegrated into cosmic dust.

Lin Yu and his squadron had successfully repelled the warship, but they knew this was only the beginning. The Shadow Clan’s main fleet loomed behind, undoubtedly preparing a far fiercer offensive.

Back on the battleship, Lin Yu reported the engagement to the captain. The captain frowned deeply. “The Shadow Clan’s tactics are flexible. We can’t rely solely on the advantage of Starlight gear—we need better tactical coordination.”

Lin Yu agreed and began discussing new strategies with the captain and officers.
