"So, you're the famous Brother Mumu?"

Wang Minglou glared at him with a dark, gloomy expression, his eyes radiating a chilling, menacing intent. He had never imagined that the dowdy, sycophantic-looking man in front of him would be the mysterious tycoon who had been clashing with him in the livestream chat.

Before coming here, Huang Lingxi had only told him that Lin Fan was meeting with Lin Mu to discuss signing a contract. He hadn't questioned Lin Fan's identity, never suspecting that the top-tier donor who had forced him into tens of millions of debt was the very man sitting before him.

Lin Mu and Huang Lingxi both stared at him in astonishment. The former was puzzled as to why he would expose his own identity, while the latter was instantly filled with adoration for Lin Fan. Lin Fan noticed that Huang Lingxi’s favorability toward him had instantly spiked from -10 to 30. *What a realistic girl,* he thought.

Lin Fan had revealed his identity simply to warn Wang Minglou to stop targeting Lin Mu.

"Don't tell me you're also trying to woo Lin Mu?" Wang Minglou dropped the act, lifting his chin and asking with unconcealed contempt.

"That's right. I intend to sign her to my company and turn her into a big star. So, do you have any brilliant insights?" Lin Fan examined Wang Minglou with a thin, mocking smile, his tone tinged with a warning. "In a sense, I’m about to become her new boss, so let me give you a piece of advice: Lin Mu has only just reached adulthood. Isn't it a bit inappropriate for a man of your age to be pursuing such a young girl?"

He already knew Wang Minglou’s true colors—the man was clearly only after Lin Mu’s body.

"You aren't her parent. What right do you have to tell me what to do?" Wang Minglou retorted, refusing to back down.

"I’m just reminding you. Lin Mu has no interest in dating right now, so don't waste your effort," Lin Fan said, deciding to be blunt, unsure if the guy was playing dumb or just trying to disgust him.

Wang Minglou scoffed contemptuously, sneering, "Are you trying to compare resources with me? What qualifies you to be a sycophant for her?"

Lin Mu’s expression soured at these words. "Can you two please stop ruining my meal? If you want to argue, take it outside."

Lin Fan grinned. "See? Even Mumu finds you annoying. Yet you’re still so self-righteous. As for whether I’m qualified to be her fan, that’s not for you to decide. Compared to me, I’m afraid you’re the one who lacks the qualifications. When it comes to wealth, can you compare to me? Have you paid back all the money you borrowed from others?"

Wang Minglou narrowed his eyes. He hadn't expected Lin Fan to hit him where it hurt so directly. To be so disrespectful was sheer arrogance. Still, he had to maintain his air of elegance.

"A mere few tens of millions? I paid that off the very same night! Who knows where you get your money from anyway? I’m backed by a media giant with a market value of tens of billions. You’re backed by a mere livestreaming company. What makes you think you can make Lin Mu a star?" Wang Minglou’s lips curled into a sneer of boundless disdain, as if Lin Fan were nothing but a fly to him.

Huang Lingxi chimed in, "President Lin has a good relationship with Huayi Media. I heard they’re investing billions into the *Di Renjie* film series and want Mumu to play the second female lead..."

Lin Fan glanced at Huang Lingxi calmly. *Why is this girl such a blabbermouth?*

"Huayi Media? They’ve fallen out of the top ten entertainment media companies. My family’s Guangming Media is currently ranked third with a market value of fifty billion. Do you really think you’re in a position to compare with me?" Wang Minglou smirked, unimpressed.

Lin Fan didn't retort, looking at him as if he were an idiot. He suspected the guy had a low IQ. Boasting about market value? That was classic hooligan behavior. A high market value didn't prove that Guangming Media’s foundation and influence were stronger than Huayi's.

He didn't want to argue about company strength with this fool, so he shifted the topic. "Lin Mu, after we finish eating, how about we go look at some apartments at Tomson Riviera? I want to buy you a place. I heard Sister Li stays there when she comes to Shanghai, so you two can hang out when you're free."

"Really? ...Okay!" Lin Mu paused, immediately realizing that Lin Fan was trying to trap Wang Minglou. She played along, as she had no fondness for Wang Minglou and actually detested him. She secretly hoped Lin Fan would drive this shameless sycophant away, so she put on a convincing performance.

Wang Minglou fell for it hook, line, and sinker. "You can't just buy a place at Tomson Riviera with money! As far as I know, you need proof of assets just to buy a property there!"

Huang Lingxi chimed in, "I heard the cheapest units there start at thirty or forty million. President Lin, there’s no need to buy something so expensive. The villa areas around the Drama Academy are much cheaper than Tomson Riviera and closer, too. Mumu was saying earlier she wanted to rent a place nearby."

Lin Fan knew exactly what she was doing. Lin Mu hadn't even expressed an opinion, yet this girl was singing in harmony with Wang Minglou, clearly trying to goad him.

"The apartments at Tomson Riviera are all second-hand now. The development is over a decade old. It’s just that many celebrities and famous people live there, so the premium is huge. Without connections, you really can't buy a place there," Wang Minglou said, waving his hand with a smug, "I-know-everything" expression.

The implication was clear: he didn't believe Lin Fan had the ability to buy a property at Tomson Riviera.

Lin Fan made a bold declaration. "There isn't a house too expensive for me to buy if I want it. Never mind thirty or forty million—even if it were worth a hundred million, I wouldn't blink an eye."

Wang Minglou goaded him, "Oh, such big words. By the sound of it, buying a hundred-million-dollar mansion is as easy as buying groceries? Then why don't you buy one for everyone here? That shouldn't be difficult, should it?"

"Sure, no problem. I’m willing to give, but are you bold enough to accept?" Lin Fan replied with a flat, light smile.

Wang Minglou froze. He had only meant to provoke Lin Fan, not expecting him to take it seriously. If Lin Fan actually offered the property, he would be too embarrassed to take it. Wouldn't that be a slap in his own face?

Huang Lingxi, however, raised her hand eagerly. "President Lin, if you dare give it to me, I dare to take it!"

Lin Fan glanced at her with contempt. He saw right through her—she was just a shameless gold-digger. To think Lin Mu was roommates with her? What a stroke of bad luck. He noticed a flash of disgust in Lin Mu’s eyes as well; clearly, she didn't like her roommate either. He guessed that Huang Lingxi had probably heard Lin Mu was meeting Lin Fan and had shamelessly tagged along to take advantage of the situation.

Seeing Lin Fan remain silent, Wang Minglou sneered, "What, aren't you willing? You really are a two-faced hypocrite—saying one thing and doing another. If you don't have the ability, don't talk big. This kind of moronic behavior is truly pathetic."

Being surrounded by this ambiguous pair of scoundrels made even Lin Mu feel uneasy. But Lin Fan remained as calm as if nothing were happening. "It’s just a house, isn't it? As long as you ask, I’ll buy it. Both of you will get one. I’m just worried you won't have the nerve to accept."
