“You follow the entertainment industry?”
Jian Yanzhi could not help raising an eyebrow and casting Ruan Mianmian a teasing glance.
Chen Yue scratched the back of his head sheepishly and smiled. “Yes. Big Sis saw right through me.”
So it was true?
Ruan Mianmian covered her mouth in astonishment. If Xiang Kui found out that she had met a real celebrity, she would probably be so excited that she would faint.
“Then... let me introduce myself again.” Chen Yue extended his slender fingers toward Ruan Mianmian with a smile. “I’m Le Chen, a member of the OS group. I’m the group’s main dancer.”
“Hello, hello!” Ruan Mianmian immediately took his hand and shook it, grinning like a fool.
“That’s enough. This isn’t some grand fan meeting, you know.”
Jian Yanzhi shot Le Chen a glance. The latter quickly withdrew his hand and gave Ruan Mianmian an amused smile.
Ruan Mianmian cast Jian Yanzhi a sidelong look before turning to Le Chen. “Your group is holding a concert in Jiangcheng next month, right? My friend and I will be there to support you!”
Le Chen raised his eyebrows with a smile. “Big Sis, are you really a fan?”
“I’m only going with a friend! She’s a die-hard fan of your group.”
Ruan Mianmian offered the explanation with a smile.
“In that case, I’ll get you a few VIP tickets later.”
Ruan Mianmian hurriedly shook her head. “No, no, it’s all right. We’ve already bought our tickets.”
“Big Sis...” Le Chen blinked innocently. “Aren’t VIP tickets tempting? They’re incredibly close to the stage.”
Ruan Mianmian admitted that she was tempted and quickly nodded. “All right, then shall we exchange contact information?”
“Sure.”
Le Chen took out his phone, scanned Ruan Mianmian’s QR code, and sent her a friend request.
“Done.”
Ruan Mianmian nodded. She had actually managed to get the main dancer’s contact information. This trip had truly been worthwhile.
Jian Yanzhi, who had been completely ignored beside them, was instantly covered in dark lines.
“Little Yue, my niece is a huge fan of your group. She insisted that I come over and ask you for an autographed photo. Would that be convenient?”
A middle-aged man came over to ask Le Chen for an autographed photo.
Ruan Mianmian and Jian Yanzhi took the opportunity to make room.
She raised her phone and gestured for Le Chen to contact her on WeChat later.

A smile spread across Le Chen’s face. He nodded, revealing a pair of playful little tiger teeth. He looked utterly innocent and harmless.
Ruan Mianmian and Jian Yanzhi moved to the side. Watching Le Chen being surrounded by people in the distance, she smiled and said, “Your cousin is much cuter than you.”
Jian Yanzhi raised his brows, completely unconcerned. “You’ve never seen how devious that fellow can be.”
“Are you a hater?”
Ruan Mianmian glanced at him and continued, “Just look at how outstanding he is. He’s so young, yet he’s already a member of a hugely popular idol boy band. He’s achieved fame and success already. I’m so jealous.”
Jian Yanzhi said coldly, “He’s twenty-three. As far as I know, he’s probably older than you.”
“Hm?” Ruan Mianmian was surprised. “You can’t tell at all!”
“Isn’t the point that he keeps calling you Big Sis?”
Ruan Mianmian blinked. “Who cares? What’s wrong with being called Big Sis by a handsome man? I enjoy it.”
“...”
He realized that bringing that brat Le Chen here today had been a mistake.
“Oh, right.”
Ruan Mianmian suddenly remembered something and turned to Jian Yanzhi. “Has Song Chenxi contacted you?”
“No.”
Jian Yanzhi shook his head helplessly. “Didn’t I tell you that she and I broke up? We don’t keep in touch anymore.”
“Tsk, tsk.”
Ruan Mianmian gave Jian Yanzhi a look of contempt and blurted out, “How can you be such a scumbag?”
“What did you say?”
“Hmph!”
Ruan Mianmian took two steps back, widening the distance between them. Then she said, “I’m warning you, don’t ruin my reputation in front of other people. There’s absolutely nothing going on between us.”
Jian Yanzhi stepped closer. “If there’s nothing between us, then how could I possibly ruin your reputation? Or are you hoping something will happen?”
“...”
Ruan Mianmian rolled her eyes. “Your imagination is certainly impressive.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment.”
Jian Yanzhi narrowed his long eyes slightly and curled his lips at Ruan Mianmian.
Just then, a commotion suddenly arose behind them from somewhere. Ruan Mianmian instinctively looked over.
A familiar face had appeared among the crowd and was slowly making its way toward them.
“Chen Ci? What is he doing here?”

Ruan Mianmian lifted her wineglass and took a sip before turning to Jian Yanzhi.
Jian Yanzhi said slowly, “That fellow is shameless and talks too much. The old man likes him very much, so he invited him to the birthday banquet as well.”
Shameless and talks too much...
The corner of Ruan Mianmian’s mouth twitched. She then waved at Chen Ci from a distance.
At that moment, Chen Ci noticed Ruan Mianmian and gave her an utterly baffling smile.
While Ruan Mianmian was still wondering what was going on, Chen Ci suddenly stopped and moved one step to the side. Behind him, a tall, stern figure radiating an icy chill was revealed before her eyes.
“Cough, cough—”
Ruan Mianmian clutched her wineglass and began coughing violently, nearly choking herself to death.
She immediately shoved the glass into Jian Yanzhi’s arms and prepared to make a quick getaway.
Unfortunately, an even colder voice sounded behind her.
“Ruan Mianmian, where do you think you’re going?”
A cold smile curved Jiang Ce’s lips. When he saw the little woman preparing to flee, he was instantly furious.
He had been away from home for only one day, and she had actually delivered herself straight to him.
Ruan Mianmian stopped. Her body trembled, and she turned around with a smile. “I wasn’t going anywhere.”
Jiang Ce strode over on his long legs and pulled her into his arms. In a low voice, he asked, “You’ve been drinking?”
“Just a little, just a little.”
Ruan Mianmian huddled obediently in Jiang Ce’s embrace, not daring to struggle even for a moment.
When Jian Yanzhi saw this scene, the smile on his face instantly froze. He stepped forward and asked, “Why are you here?”
Jiang Ce lifted his cold eyes and looked at Jian Yanzhi with unmistakable mockery. Then he moved the arm that had been resting around Ruan Mianmian’s lower back to her shoulders.
It was an unmistakable declaration of possession.
Jiang Ce smiled. “Sorry, I’m here to find Mianmian.”
Jian Yanzhi’s gaze shifted to Ruan Mianmian, growing increasingly severe. Anyone with eyes could tell that he was angry—and not mildly so.
“Yanzhi, Yanzhi.”
Chen Ci promptly stepped forward and caught hold of Jian Yanzhi. Smiling, he said, “Today is the old man’s birthday, and I haven’t gone over to greet him yet. Take me to see him, would you?”
Jian Yanzhi swept Chen Ci a cold glance, his eyes filled with accusation.
There was no doubt that Jiang Ce had come with Chen Ci.
Seeing Jian Yanzhi reveal such a frigid expression—a rare occurrence—Chen Ci felt a sudden twinge of unease.
