Winning the championship on "The Masked Singer" last night, and now receiving the joyous news of a second pregnancy today—this must be what they call a double blessing!

Overwhelmed by such sudden happiness, Yu Zhile was beside himself with excitement, hugging his wife in the hospital like a giddy child.

"Careful now!" his mother scolded, patting his shoulder. Yu Zhile quickly set his wife down and leaned in to kiss her, only to realize they were both still wearing masks.

"Let's go, let's head home!"

Their identities had already been exposed to the medical staff, but since the other people in the hospital hadn't recognized them yet, they hurried out to leave.

On the way home, his mother kept listing everything his wife should avoid, what she shouldn't eat, and how he needed to take care of his precious daughter-in-law.

Qin Haiyu touched her still-flat stomach, laughing helplessly. "Mom, it’s not my first time being pregnant. You’re acting as if this is the first time!"

"With your scatterbrained nature, if I don't nag you, how will you remember anything?" his mother retorted. "If you were even a little bit smarter, you wouldn't have waited until now to realize you were pregnant!"

Qin Haiyu stuck out her tongue, having no argument for that.

Yu Zhile drove slowly, nodding repeatedly. "Mom, keep going! I'm taking notes on everything else we need to watch out for!"

"Just make sure you follow what I've already said!" his mother replied. "The baby is still small, and taking care of her takes enough energy as it is. Why not come back to our hometown to recover for a while? I can help out when I'm off work, and your father can help look after the baby."

"No need, I can handle it," Yu Zhile said. "Besides, being stuck in the hometown is boring, and the environment isn't great—not ideal for a healthy pregnancy."

Qin Haiyu nodded. "Don't worry, Mom, we have it under control."

"It's precisely because you don't have any sense of proportion that I have to say so much!" his mother grumbled, giving up on the argument.

Qin Haiyu grabbed her phone to share the good news with Xu Ling. On the other end, Xu Ling was practically in tears. Her best friend was already expecting her second child, while her own Prince Charming had yet to appear! It was heart-wrenching!

...

At four in the afternoon, Yu’s father drove over. Upon hearing the news, he was also quite moved. After all, the Yu family had passed down the line through a single heir for three generations. When it finally reached his son, they hadn't ended up with a grandson, but a granddaughter!

Although they always claimed that grandsons and granddaughters were the same, deep down, they still hoped for a grandson to carry on the family name. Now that his daughter-in-law was pregnant with a second child, the chance had arrived. He sternly warned his son to take care of her, even threatening to "skin and bone him" if he failed to do a good job, leaving Yu Zhile feeling exhausted.

It was clear who held the least status in the family! But with his wife now the absolute priority, he kept every word his parents said firmly in mind.

After dinner, his parents headed back to their hometown. Qin Haiyu felt a pang of pity for her husband for a few seconds before rubbing her belly. "Honey, pregnancy is such a hassle! Can't do this, can't do that—and I have to keep it up for so many days!"

"It's for the sake of you and the baby," Yu Zhile comforted her.

"But it's so stifling and boring!" Qin Haiyu said longingly. "Honey, how about we go abroad for a vacation to relax for two months before coming back to settle down? If I follow everything Mom says right now, I'll definitely go stir-crazy, and that’s not good for the baby either!"

"Going abroad is too dangerous," Yu Zhile replied. "Public safety is poor compared to back home, and with all the crowds, it's easy to get bumped. Plus, the baby is still small; it's not convenient."

"Oh..."

Qin Haiyu thought for a moment. "Then how about we go stay in the countryside for a while? It's peaceful, the air is good, and it’s mostly elderly people and children left behind—no one will recognize us."

Yu Zhile considered this. "Are you sure you want to stay in the countryside for a while?"

"Yes!" Qin Haiyu nodded. "I lived in the countryside with my grandmother when I was little. She raised chickens, ducks, and a few sows. I haven't lived there since she passed away. Thinking about it now, I really miss her and those days."

Yu Zhile affectionately stroked her hair. "Alright, if you want to go, I’ll make the arrangements."

"Really?" Qin Haiyu was delighted, then turned worried. "But Mom and Dad won't agree. We're celebrities; what if we get recognized?"

"Don't worry, I can handle that," Yu Zhile said. "As for my parents, I'll persuade them! Besides, didn't they just say I shouldn't let you do any heavy lifting and that I should accommodate you in everything? I'll just use that!"

Qin Haiyu giggled. "Great! Let me ask Lingling if she wants to come along!"

Yu Zhile nodded. "I'm going to the study to make some calls. Sorry to leave the baby to you for a bit!"

"Go ahead!"

Qin Haiyu wasn't frail; she found it more torturous to do absolutely nothing.

The baby had been listening to their conversation, though she didn't understand much. Curious, she asked, "Mommy, where is Daddy going?"

"Daddy is going upstairs to find a beautiful place for us, and then he's going to take you there to play!"

"Oh..." the baby nodded, half-understanding. Qin Haiyu patted her head. "Baby, do you like having a little brother or sister?"

"Yes!" the baby agreed.

Qin Haiyu smiled with satisfaction. "Then you can't bully them when they arrive, okay?"

"Okay~" the baby replied.

"Good girl! Mommy loves you!" Qin Haiyu hugged her daughter and kissed her, silently praying for a little brother to make her happiness complete.

...

In the study, Yu Zhile opened his laptop and began to type. The rhythmic clicking of the keyboard filled the room. If Yang Bing were here, he would surely be stunned, for Yu Zhile was drafting a massive, outdoor reality show centered on parents and their children.

An hour later, Yu Zhile stretched his fingers, spent another half-hour refining the proposal, and finally finalized it.

"That should do it," he muttered to himself. He saved the file and added a title that sounded incredibly promising.
