Chapter 139 Utter Domination
Under the cover of night, Leslie’s body suddenly expanded, transforming into a towering minor giant over three meters tall. A layer of ferocious armor rapidly enveloped his entire frame, turning him into a cold-blooded killing machine in the blink of an eye.
Boom!
With a heavy stomp of his foot, the entire ground trembled. Rage flooded his mind, almost entirely consuming him, and his voice was laden with irrepressible hostility: "Tell me, why did you kill him?"
"Why? Because it was boring, of course."
The other person’s tone and expression were dripping with insouciance, much like a young aristocratic lord out for a casual stroll. He reached out casually and said, "Here, take it. This toy was far too fragile; it offered no real amusement at all."
Thud!
The person who had been pierced through by a tentacle crashed heavily onto the ground, landing less than ten meters away from Leslie.
On that face, identical to his own, there was not a trace of fear in the face of impending death. Both eyes were wide open, and with a mechanical, rigid tone, the body uttered: "Code 0328, experiment complete. Attack power insufficient, unable to breach target defense..."
As the words trailed off, the breath quietly faded, and the body slowly grew cold. Yet those two eyes remained wide open, as if waiting for something.
"Ah, Isaac, you truly deserve to die!"
The second clone perished right before his eyes—possessing a body identical to his own, with the exact same life fluctuations—inflicting upon him an unimaginable, stabbing agony. It felt as though he himself was being tortured and slaughtered over and over again, drawing an involuntary roar of fury from his throat.
Boom!
He vanished abruptly from where he stood, setting off a piercing, sharp sonic boom as he hurtled toward that hateful figure with terrifying force!
With the power of his completed ultimate evolution, a single punch from him could shatter even a small hill, let alone a mere human body.
"Finally, something interesting. I've been meaning to play with you for a long time; this trash is just too weak." Isaac licked his lips, his eyes filled with a crazed smile.
"Come on, attack me with everything you've got. Just don't die too quickly!"
A blinding crimson light erupted less than five meters away from Isaac. Leslie was wreathed in dazzling red energy, scorching everything around him like a raging fire while emitting a shrill, whistling shriek.
Yet, he was like a fly trapped in amber, utterly unable to advance another inch, reduced to struggling in vain.
"Haha! Too weak, too weak! You don't even possess the qualifications to approach me. You are truly, utterly weak!"
Isaac burst into wild laughter, tinged with a hysterical fury, "I expected you to be somewhat stronger than this trash, but it turns out you're just trash yourself!"
"The weak are destined to be playthings for the strong. Kneel!"
The special gravitational field, already exceptionally heavy, suddenly doubled in intensity. It felt as if Leslie were bearing the weight of a massive mountain, pressing the crimson aura on his body tightly against his skin. His legs buckled, and he nearly collapsed to the ground.
"No!"
With a furious roar, his already exaggerated muscles bulged once more in a near-explosive growth, transforming him into a super giant standing five meters tall, with arms over a meter thick. He drove a fist down into the earth.
It was like detonating a bomb; the entire ground collapsed violently, and deep fissures spread out in all directions like a spiderweb.
A fissure half a meter wide snaked right up to Isaac's feet, forcing him to take a single step aside.
That single step provided the opening Leslie needed. In an instant, he bridged the five-meter gap between them, bringing a fist larger than a human head crashing down fiercely.
Thud!
A dull impact akin to striking thick ox-hide echoed out. Leslie felt as though he had punched a heavy, taut leather drum, and the rebound force struck him manifold, rupturing his right arm in a cascade of bloody wounds.
Only then did he notice a massive snake head protruding from his opponent's chest, which instantaneously morphed into a gigantic serpent thirty meters in length.
Its body was covered in a layer of dark golden feathers, with two pairs of colossal wings unfurled upon its back, and a head larger than an automobile.
Atop its head wrethed a multitude of small serpents, resembling the hair of Medusa, densely packed with snakes several meters long. It was precisely one of these that had pierced the clone earlier!
Super-grade totem beast—the Feathered Serpent God!
Capable of bestowing upon its Spirit Master the Sluggish Field, it suppressed all targets within a thirty-meter radius with horrifying pressure, strong enough to crush weaker opponents into a bloody pulp mere moments later.
The weak did not even possess the qualifications to stand in its presence; it was a supreme existence that dared to style itself a god.
Bang!
Bursting forth from the void, the Feathered Serpent God lashed its tail downward toward Leslie. He instinctively threw both hands high above his head to block the blow.
However, the opponent's strength was monstrous. The moment they connected, it felt like an entire mountain crashing down upon him, driving his massive five-meter frame straight into the rock beneath like a pile driver, leaving only his head exposed.
Raging, overwhelming pressure mercilessly squeezed him on all sides, the surrounding earth roaring as if it intended to flatten him into meat paste the very next moment.
Isaac strode over, a helpless smile on his face: "Trash, utterly indefensible trash. Struggle all you want; I love watching little bugs fight desperately for their lives, even though death is the only thing awaiting them."
Crack!
An audible fracture rang out as Leslie’s swollen body was relentlessly compressed. Blood surged to his head, causing blood to seep from his eye sockets, nose, and mouth.
He thrashed desperately, yet could not break free in the slightest. Never had he felt so utterly powerless, reduced to the status of a fragile infant.
With the appearance of the Feathered Serpent God, the already formidable Sluggish Field surged in intensity, requiring a massive expenditure of energy for him to make even the tiniest movement.
Under this crushing force, the energy within Leslie's body agglomerated, slowly undergoing a qualitative change. Like steel tempered through a hundred smeltings, the pressure forcefully kneaded and purified his power, rendering it far denser and more formidable.
However, the very next moment, the crushing pressure vanished entirely. Isaac grinned broadly and laughed aloud, "Hahaha! I don't want to lose a toy just yet. Savor this humiliation, and work desperately hard to grow stronger. Then—bring me even more amusement!"
"Haha..."
Carrying him aloft, the Feathered Serpent God soared into the air, its wild laughter gradually fading into the distance.
The wind wailed, carrying a damp, salty tang as it swept across the small valley.
Leslie closed his eyes in silence for a moment. His massive form slowly shrank back to normal, and without a single word, he clawed his way out from beneath the earth and departed.
As he left, his eyes were clouded with bewilderment, but this was quickly replaced by a boundless coldness and an ingrained, unforgettable hostility...
This entire scene was thoroughly recorded by a few unassuming little insects and transmitted to a location dozens of kilometers away.
Upon a rooftop, Cael held Firefly as he gazed up at the pitch-black night sky: "Hatred drives progress. As the Child of Destiny, what will you do?"
Cael recalled the earlier encounter; with Leslie's ultimate evolved strength, he had possessed zero capability to resist the opponent, appearing pathetically fragile.
"The Feathered Serpent God—truly living up to its reputation as a top-tier totem. To defeat it, one must first break its innate Sluggish Field."
"That seems a bit troublesome..."
