Chapter 109: The Furious Young Master Tang, Yang Tianxiao of the Howling Celestial Hound
Inside the wailing ambulance, Tang Fu suddenly snapped his eyes open and surveyed his surroundings.
His head throbbed, his legs ached, and the nurse and doctor beside him were looking at him with undisguised contempt. What on earth had happened? Tang Fu was confused, but then, realization hit him like a lightning bolt.
Damn it! He had been cracked open at a high-end club, right in front of Liu Ying—he had actually been beaten up again! This was outrageous! Was there no law left in this world?
Tang Fu rubbed his head, staring at the vegetable scraps covering his clothes and inhaling the foul stench clinging to him. His hands trembled with fury. Turning his head, he saw Li Lan still there and roared, "Li Lan! What the hell is going on?"
Seeing that Tang Fu had regained consciousness, Li Lan let out a sigh of relief and hurriedly said, "Young Master Tang, I don't know! I have no idea why they suddenly rushed in and beat you like that."
"I’m asking what happened after I passed out!" Tang Fu hissed.
"After you passed out... after you fainted, a man walked out. They all called him 'the Deacon.' That Deacon said you dared to steal his woman, and then... and then he ordered them to throw you into the trash can outside the shop," Li Lan recounted honestly.
"Did you not tell them who I am?" Tang Fu was on the verge of madness. He had been thrown into a trash can—he had never imagined such humiliation!
"I did, but they didn't care at all," Li Lan whispered.
Tang Fu slammed his hand against the stretcher and shouted, "Stop the vehicle! Call for backup!"
The two hospital orderlies looked at him impatiently. "Sir, this is an ambulance. Your head wound hasn't been stitched up yet; please be careful."
"Stitch my ass! If I don't tear down that Longquan Club today, I might as well be dead! Stop! Call my people! Where is my phone? Where is my phone!" Tang Fu shouted in a rage.
Li Lan quickly retrieved the phone, taking the opportunity to ask in a low voice, "Young Master Tang, about that procurement office position..."
"Procurement your sister!" Tang Fu kicked Li Lan to the floor, jumped off the stretcher, and threw open the ambulance door.
He dialed a number rapidly. "Uncle Long, I’ve been beaten... Yes, it’s serious, they nearly killed me... No, Uncle Long, I want revenge. I must have revenge! In one hour, I want three hundred men standing in front of the Longquan Club. Uncle Long, please help me. If you don't, I’ll spend my own money to hire men! Fine, I'll see you in front of the Longquan Club in an hour!"
Tang Fu hung up, his anger boiling over. He flagged down a taxi and headed back to the Longquan Club. His legs were screaming in pain, but he didn't care anymore.
An hour later, dozens of cars pulled up in front of the club. Over two hundred men stepped out, armed with steel pipes and machetes.
Tang Fu puffed on a cigarette, his blood pumping as he surveyed the crowd. In Tengyun City, how could he endure such an insult? He still couldn't fathom that he had been tossed into a trash can like a dead dog!
"Young Master Tang," a middle-aged man approached. He was in his fifties, looking sharp and spirited in a silk Tang suit, dressed like a butler from a bygone era. Indeed, he was the butler, Meng Qinglong—known as Uncle Long—the head steward of the Tang family. The Tang Group often had affairs that couldn't be handled in the light of day, and Uncle Long was the one who dealt with the dirty work.
"Uncle Long," Tang Fu touched his head.
Seeing Tang Fu’s state, Meng Qinglong was taken aback. "This... how did it come to this? As far as I know, the owner of the Longquan Club is Yang Tianxiao; he usually knows better than to cross lines."
"Lines... lines my ass!" Tang Fu took a harsh drag of his cigarette. "Damn it, I’m tearing this club down today."
Meng Qinglong shook his head. "Young Master, scare them a little, but don't cause real trouble. I know this Yang Tianxiao. He founded the Tianxiao Hall, and their momentum has been too strong lately."
"Who cares! What kind of crap is the Tianxiao Hall? I'll stomp it out!" Tang Fu spat.
Meng Qinglong sighed. "Indeed, while the Tianxiao Hall claims to be the third-largest gang in Tengyun, they are newly established with shallow roots. However, Young Master, don't underestimate Yang Tianxiao. There must be a reason for his meteoric rise. If he's backed by some big shot, acting rashly could..."
"I don't care who he's backed by! Screw them all! I’m not holding back today!" Tang Fu threw his cigarette butt to the ground, snatched a machete from one of his men, and climbed onto the roof of a car. "Brothers! Everyone gets three thousand! Perform well, and I’ll give you thirty thousand! Listen to me: follow me in, smash whatever you can, beat whoever you see! As long as no one dies, I'll take the fall for everything! Follow me!"
Tang Fu swung the machete with bravado. Over two hundred men charged toward the Longquan Club.
"Who’s there! What are you doing!" a few terrified waiters shouted from the entrance.
Tang Fu slashed down, cutting a chunk of flesh off a waiter's face. The machete looked fierce but was designed not to kill. Without another word, he led the charge. The entire club descended into chaos.
Xin Buqi scrambled to gather dozens of waiters to intercept them. Upstairs, Song Kai watched the scene, thinking it was even more explosive than he had imagined. An idea struck him—this was an opportunity.
Song Kai immediately called Wu Hongying. "Hey, Sister Ying, did you find the information on Yang Tianxiao?"
Wu Hongying yawned. "I was just about to clock off. I checked for you; he’s the head of the Tianxiao Hall. His businesses are in the grey area, but there’s no criminal record, so I can't arrest him. If you want to know something, I suggest you go find him yourself—a little violence is fine. If you get sued and end up in jail, I’ll bail you out, don't worry."
"Damn..." Song Kai was speechless. This woman was so unreliable!
"Listen," Song Kai said, "bring your people over here now and arrest Yang Tianxiao!"
"Are you crazy? Why go there now? We don't have evidence. If I go, it won't be you going to jail, it'll be me," Wu Hongying muttered.
Song Kai chuckled. "No, no, this is the perfect chance to take Yang Tianxiao in. Tang Fu is currently tearing the place apart, and a massive brawl is about to start. We can use this as a pretext to bring Yang Tianxiao into the station for 'mediation.' Once he’s inside, won't everything be up to us? This is crucial—I have to dig up information about the Saint Ruins Daoist from him!"
Wu Hongying hesitated. "Is it safe? Are you sure about this?"
"We have to!" Song Kai insisted. "This is a golden opportunity. Otherwise, who knows how long it would take to catch him in a mistake? I don't want to be a waiter here for half a year!"
"Fine! I'm taking my team over now," Wu Hongying sighed.
Down in the lobby of the Longquan Club, the sound of shattering glass echoed. A crystal chandelier worth tens of thousands was smashed to the floor, and the front desk was overturned. Seven waiters lay on the ground, bloodied.
Xin Buqi rushed downstairs, his blood boiling at the sight, but as an old veteran of the underworld, he suppressed his rage and roared, "Everyone, stop!"
It was useless. Tang Fu's men didn't know who Xin Buqi was, and they continued their rampage. A few customers were beaten into submission on the floor. Infuriated, Xin Buqi kicked one of Tang Fu's men in the stomach.
Tang Fu saw this and swung his machete. "Oh, damn! You dare to fight back? Boys, get him! Beat him into a cripple!"
The mob surged forward. Xin Buqi realized he had stepped into a mess, but there was no turning back. He lunged at Tang Fu and kicked him to the ground. Xin Buqi had climbed to his position through sheer grit, and Tang Fu was no match for him. Even as five of Tang Fu’s thugs rushed him, Xin Buqi held his own.
The situation spiraled out of control as nearly four hundred people clashed in the club.
From the second-floor railing, Song Kai watched the spectacle. *Tang Fu has really done me a huge favor,* he thought. *For the sake of this help, I'll let his past misconduct toward Liu Ying slide.*
As he watched, a sharp "Bang!" rang out.
The gunshot brought the chaotic lobby to a sudden, absolute silence.
Song Kai turned his gaze to see a middle-aged man in a tracksuit walking down the stairs, step by step. He held a refined handgun, his expression stern and menacing.
"I am Yang Tianxiao," the man said, his voice deep and resonant. "The people of Tengyun give me face and call me Brother Tianxiao. My nickname is 'The Howling Dog.' I dare not compare myself to the divine dog of Erlang Shen, as I lack such great power. However, there is one thing I have learned from the Howling Dog: how to bite! To anyone who dares offend me, even if I am beaten to death, I will make sure to take a mouthful of their fur with me! Heh heh heh, that is who I am—the master of the Tianxiao Hall, Yang Tianxiao."
