Chapter 115: The Blood Night Trio! Utter Losers
Song Kai truly did not realize what value a few moves of the grand capture technique held.
But Liu Yue understood perfectly.
Liu Yue had thought Song Kai was merely giving him casual pointers, never expecting to learn such valuable skills!
Song Kai taught him a few moves and explained the key points.
Liu Yue was thoroughly convinced.
At that moment, Dan Lina called out to Song Kai from outside.
Song Kai said, “Well, you keep practicing for now. If you don’t understand something, just call me. Once I finish this busy period, I’ll come to you for driving lessons.”
“No problem, absolutely no problem! Thank you so much, Mr. Song,” Liu Yue said sincerely.
“Just call me Song Kai. Alright then, I’m off.”
Song Kai found Dan Lina.
She said, “The arrangements are nearly complete. We’re sending five people on our side—three snipers and two ready to provide support at any time. The main thing is to absolutely prevent the enemy from detecting our movements.”
Song Kai nodded immediately and said, “Exactly, we need to appear weak… uh, in other words, we must present ourselves as complete novices.”
Dan Lina handed Song Kai an earpiece. “Wear this so we can stay in contact at all times. We don’t know when the enemy will appear.”
“It should be today or tomorrow. Take me to the school. I’ll be roaming around the vicinity for the next few days,” Song Kai said.
Dan Lina agreed, thought for a moment, then gave Song Kai a forum website. “If you go to an internet café, log in here. You can also learn some basic hacking skills.”
“Thanks.”
Dan Lina drove and dropped Song Kai off outside the school’s internet café.
Song Kai now had to convincingly portray the life of a down-and-out, impoverished second-generation rich kid, just drifting through the days.
...
On a flight bound for Tengyun City.
The business class cabin had four seats, but only three were occupied.
A middle-aged man with an imposing demeanor, wearing a hat, sat by the window. In his hands was a thick dossier containing all information on Song Kai from birth till now.
This man was none other than Blood Poison, a member of the Blood Night Assassins.
Blood Poison studied the files meticulously, marking many red lines throughout.
Finally, he sighed softly.
Behind Blood Poison, a frail man lay asleep in his seat. The window beside him was tightly shut.
His skin was frighteningly pale, his hair white, and even his slightly open eyes revealed white irises.
He was paler than an albino.
He looked as if he could die at any moment.
This man was Night Ghost.
Though extremely pale, he was a child of the night. Born with a congenital defect lacking melanin, he could not bear sunlight. When he was less than three months old, his parents thought he wouldn’t survive and abandoned him in a graveyard.
Unexpectedly, Night Ghost not only survived but gained the ability to communicate with spirits.
He was taken in by kind strangers but, because he attracted ghosts, he was treated as a monster—shunned and despised everywhere—until he met Blood Poison.
Blood Poison continued reviewing the documents.
Nearby, a woman approached, carrying a cup of coffee, and handed it to him. Like a kitten, she curled up on Blood Poison’s lap. “Boss Blood, you’ve read that file nine times already. Is there anything left to study?”
“Heh.” Blood Poison’s hand slid under her skirt. “Every mission is a life-or-death struggle. Even the smallest flaw could be fatal. So, I can never be too careful, my little kitty.”
Kitty smiled, wrapping her arms around Blood Poison’s neck. “Boss Blood, is this mission going to be the easiest one we’ve had so far?”
“Looks like it...” Blood Poison’s hand pressed a sensitive spot.
Kitty scrunched her nose and narrowed her eyes like a cat.
As he worked, Blood Poison said, “It seems this poor, fallen rich kid has no suspicious points. But after the last assassination attempt by Liu Chengfeng, who suddenly disappeared, I’m a bit worried. Liu Chengfeng is the young master of the Liu family; his throwing knives never miss and his martial skills surpass mine by far. So it’s better to be cautious.”
Kitty squeezed her legs tighter to let Blood Poison’s hand get closer. “Then why did Liu Chengfeng die?”
“It’s probably because of that female police officer living with Song Kai,” Blood Poison speculated. “She’s not an ordinary cop—that’s what the files couldn’t uncover. She’s likely our biggest obstacle in this mission.”
Kitty laughed. “Then forget the cop for now. Let’s focus on your little kitty.”
Blood Poison smiled back, pinching her mouth. “You’re getting even more mischievous.”
“That’s all thanks to your poison treatments,” Kitty purred, batting her eyelashes. She knew she was completely aroused.
Blood Poison certainly felt it.
He sighed to himself: in his life, he had killed many with drugs, but the one good deed he ever did was saving Kitty.
Kitty had lupus. At sixteen, the excessive hormone treatments had swollen her so severely she looked like a woman in her fifties or sixties.
She had planned to drown herself.
That’s when Blood Poison found her.
Using traditional medicine, poison to counter poison, he saved her.
Since then, Kitty became the third member of the Blood Night group, learning makeup and deeply loving Blood Poison, becoming his right-hand woman.
However, the toxic treatments increased her needs over time.
Blood Poison withdrew his hand, patted her butt, and said, “Alright, handle yourself. The plane lands in an hour. Before then, you need to finish the makeup.”
“Yes, Boss Blood.”
Kitty twisted her waist, lay on another seat, and used her portable electric tools to satisfy herself.
Blood Poison sighed again. Though almost thirty, Kitty still had the skin of a young girl. Perhaps because of her intense needs, every movement she made carried a seductive power.
Blood Poison’s body was starting to falter. He picked up Song Kai’s dossier again, studying it intently, thinking through the mission’s process and critical points.
All clues pointed to one person: a female police officer named Wu Hongying.
Blood Poison took a deep breath and set the files down.
After Kitty finished, she returned. Her makeup skills were excellent. Within twenty minutes, Blood Poison and Night Ghost looked like two successful businessmen.
The plane landed. The three of them melted into the crowd and disappeared.
Song Kai sat in an internet café near Tengyun No. 1 High School, wearing headphones. On the screen played a Korean erotic film.
Outside, night had fallen, but Song Kai showed no intention of leaving.
Though he appeared to be watching the film, in reality, the headphones were streaming basic hacking tutorials.
Around 8 p.m., Song Kai logged off and went out to dinner.
He wore his school uniform, which was somewhat dirty, his posture slouched like a complete loser.
On the way home, Song Kai remained alert. He hoped to resolve the Blood Night threat quickly so he could accompany Xu Ling to America in peace.
Having an assassin group constantly trailing him and Xu Ling would be far too miserable.
Back home, he lay down on his bed.
He spoke into his headset, “Dan Lina, have your people keep watch around my house. I don’t want to die trapped in a nightmare.”
“Oh, I can’t guarantee that. Who knows how Blood Night manages it? I think the safest way is for you not to sleep at all, hehe,” Dan Lina’s laughter came through the earpiece.
Song Kai was speechless. He sat up and began cultivating his Nine Thunder Inner Qi.
The night passed quietly.
The next day, Song Kai looked like any other high school student, carrying his backpack to school. But he didn’t enter the school gates; instead, he went straight to the internet café, choosing a corner seat to continue watching movies—this time more straightforwardly, an action romance film from Japan.
Across the street at a café, two businessmen seemed to be discussing something.
One of them was Blood Poison.
He held his phone, through which he communicated with his informant.
Blood Poison never met anyone in person. His survival was due to no one ever seeing his true face or knowing he was Blood Poison.
On the phone, the informant said, “I’ve been tailing that kid since yesterday. He’s become a complete internet addict and doesn’t even play games at the café—just watches pornography. A real loser.”
“And the female cop?” Blood Poison asked quietly, squinting.
“She works at the police station. They live in the same house at night. By the way, that kid’s got some luck with women—she’s really beautiful...” The informant chuckled lecherously.
Blood Poison clicked off his phone, a cold smile creeping across his face...
