Chapter 018: Daring to Use Hidden Weapons—Wealth Makes You a Master!
Song Kai was the last to enter the bathroom. The air inside was fragrant, and he realized, somewhat disheartened, that he seemed to have the lowest status in the house—he could only bathe after everyone else. Still, there were advantages: more than a dozen bottles of various shampoos and body washes lined the sink. Not only was he saving on rent, but he didn’t even need to buy his own shampoo or razors.
Wait a minute—a razor?
Song Kai paused, eyes wide. What on earth? Why would two women need a razor? Could it be… one of them had transitioned in Thailand? The thought left him mystified, but he didn’t dwell on it. After showering, he returned to his room and began cultivating the Nine Thunder Internal Energy.
Wu Hongying was a terrifying woman. He had to seize every moment to strengthen himself!
He slept only two hours that night, spending the rest of the time practicing breathing techniques. The next morning, Song Kai woke up feeling refreshed. He’d planned to go for a run, but there was smog in Tengyun City, so he gave up and instead walked out onto the balcony.
The rising sun brimmed with vitality. Facing it, Song Kai began practicing Tai Chi. Each movement flowed in seamless circles, embracing the yin and carrying the yang, an endless, harmonious current.
“Huh?”
Wu Hongying stepped out in yoga clothes, planning to exercise on the balcony as well. When she saw Song Kai practicing Tai Chi, she was genuinely surprised. Though his style was different from the mainstream, it was obvious he had a profound understanding of the art—each move seemed to unite yin and yang, man and nature as one.
“No wonder he could fight me to a draw yesterday—turns out he’s the real deal,” Wu Hongying thought. Then, she paid him no further mind.
Laying out a mat behind Song Kai, Wu Hongying began her yoga routine.
Finishing his Tai Chi, Song Kai felt invigorated. As he turned to the side, his heart began to pound.
Wu Hongying was in the middle of a split and backbend, her movements graceful, her figure outlined perfectly by the yoga attire. Frankly, this kind of outfit was even more alluring than a miniskirt.
“What are you staring at, you pervert?” Wu Hongying snapped at him.
Song Kai swallowed, nodding. “You’re right, I am staring—at that.”
Wu Hongying was momentarily stunned, then realized Song Kai was calling her a ‘that,’ an insult. Her temper flared; in a flash, she sprang from the ground and lunged at him.
Song Kai dodged quickly. “What are you doing?”
Wu Hongying growled, “I couldn’t use my full strength in a nightgown yesterday—today, I’m going to teach you a lesson, you jerk!”
The more she spoke, the angrier she became. Although their fight had ended in a tie yesterday, she’d actually suffered a loss. Not only had she failed to subdue Song Kai, he’d assaulted her chest and even seen her underwear!
Today, she would have her revenge.
Wu Hongying, lithe and fierce as a young panther, lunged at Song Kai. He was eager for some real practice as well; it had been too long since his last fight, and his skills were getting rusty. He met her head-on. Punches and kicks flew, overturning the sofa and sending a fruit basket flying. As the scuffle went on, they ended up grappling on the floor—arms entangled, hands at each other’s throats, rolling together like a pair of wrestling animals.
Song Kai’s legs wrapped around Wu Hongying’s neck, while her long legs clamped around his. The two of them rolled across the floor in a classic “69” position.
At that moment, Tang Ying, still in her nightgown, came running out of her bedroom, alarmed by the thumping and crashing early in the morning.
She froze in shock at the sight of Song Kai and Wu Hongying tumbling on the floor in such an indecent posture.
“Let go!” Wu Hongying shouted.
“You let go first!” Song Kai retorted.
“If you don’t let go, I’ll bite your balls off!” Wu Hongying threatened, her chin dangerously close to his most vulnerable spot.
Song Kai replied, “If you dare, I’ll bite you right back!” He was not intimidated in the least.
Tang Ying stared at the two in disbelief, then let out a shriek, stamping her foot and clawing at her hair, on the verge of madness.
Tang Ying yelled, “Enough! Have you two become addicted to playing these perverted games?!”
“Hmph!”
Both Song Kai and Wu Hongying were brimming with anger.
But soon, Song Kai wilted.
Wu Hongying, in her yoga outfit, was simply too enticing. At first, Song Kai hadn’t thought much of it, but now, his eyes landed squarely on the most private area outlined by the tight fabric.
He was staring directly at Wu Hongying’s most secret place, the yoga clothes leaving nothing to the imagination.
The sight sparked a sudden heat within him, and he involuntarily stiffened.
Wu Hongying, caught off guard with Song Kai’s legs around her neck, was still figuring out how to escape when suddenly something poked her in the mouth—an unexpected “hidden weapon” from Song Kai’s pants.
She froze, uncertain what weapon he’d hidden there and why he’d use it now. Just as she was about to accuse him of cheating, Song Kai abruptly released her, face flushed, scrambling away with both hands covering his crotch.
Wu Hongying instantly understood, letting out a furious scream as she leaped at him. “You pervert! I’ll kill you!”
Song Kai darted behind Tang Ying for cover.
Tang Ying hugged Wu Hongying, soothing her. “Alright, alright, don’t be angry, Hongying. He’s just a kid. Why are you always bullying him?”
“Me, bullying him? He’s the child?” Wu Hongying was red-faced with shame and rage. “Yingying, didn’t you see him just now? He stuck that thing in my mouth—I have to kill him!”
Tang Ying blushed. “Come on, maybe it’s your fault too. Look at your yoga pants—can you really blame Song Kai alone? Anyway, as punishment, Song Kai will buy breakfast today! Off you go!”
“Yes, ma’am!”
Blushing, Song Kai dashed out the door.
And so, the morning chaos came to an end. Song Kai headed to school, Tang Ying drove to the hospital, and Wu Hongying, fully dressed, left last for the police station.
On the way, Wu Hongying thought for a moment, then called Yan Chengjin.
Yan Chengjin was the team leader of the Special Action Squad, currently assigned to Tengyun City as Deputy Director.
“Yan, check out Song Kai’s background for me—the son of that wealthy businessman Song Shuisheng,” Wu Hongying said.
After hanging up, her expression became cold and stern, a far cry from her shrewish behavior back at the apartment.
Not long after, her phone rang again.
“Hello, Yan? What did you find?” she asked.
Yan Chengjin replied quickly, “Just a typical second-generation rich kid—lazy, useless, weak. Why?”
“Weak?” Wu Hongying narrowed her eyes. “Did you find any records of him studying traditional medicine or martial arts?”
“None whatsoever—not possible,” Yan Chengjin said confidently. “You know our squad’s information is never wrong.”
Wu Hongying was silent for a moment before saying, “There’s something off here, Captain. We’ll talk at the station. By the way, I think I’ve found the perfect candidate for undercover work.”
With that, she hung up, a sly, fox-like smile tugging at her lips as she thought of that scoundrel Song Kai.
…
Song Kai had no idea that Wu Hongying had set her sights on him. He rushed to the classroom, ready for morning study. All he wanted now was to quietly get through the next two months, take the college entrance exam, and let the rest take care of itself.
As soon as he sat down, his phone vibrated. It was a message from Xu Ling on WeChat.
“Come by the office when you have time,” Xu Ling wrote.
Song Kai’s face immediately lit up with a grin. He snapped a selfie, applied a beauty filter—three hundred percent—and sent it over.
Then he typed, “Sister-wife, are you missing me?”
Xu Ling replied with a vomiting emoji, then added, “I’ve found some information about your parents’ disappearance. Come by after school.”
Song Kai frowned at the message. Now that the souls of the Quanzhen Daoist Song Kai and the former rich kid Song Kai had merged, he didn’t feel much attachment to his parents. Still, as a son, he owed it to them to seek the truth and avenge any wrongs.
After a moment’s thought, he replied, “Okay.”
“Who are you texting? You’re grinning like a lovesick pig,” Zhou Ran teased, leaning over.
Song Kai chuckled. “Your sister-in-law.”
Zhou Ran blinked, then scooted closer. “The fiancée everyone talks about? She’s supposed to be super beautiful. Let me see! Isn’t she some kind of genius beauty from a great family? How come she hasn’t dumped you?”
She tried to grab his phone as she grumbled.
Song Kai held the phone out of reach with his left hand, so Zhou Ran had to lean across his right arm, chest pressing firmly against it as she tried to snatch it away.
He hadn’t meant anything by it, but the sensation was undeniable—soft, comfortable, and much more generous than Wu Hongying’s.
Song Kai swallowed hard, his right arm moving involuntarily. Yes, definitely bigger.
Suddenly, Zhou Ran froze, eyes flashing with anger.
Song Kai instantly stopped.
“Pervert! Move your arm!” Zhou Ran wrinkled her nose.
Reluctantly, Song Kai pulled away. “It’s not my fault, you started it!”
“Shut up and let me see your phone, or I’ll bite you to death!” she threatened, baring her little teeth.
“So scary,” Song Kai joked, stifling a laugh, but still handed her the phone. “It’s no use—she’s never posted a selfie on WeChat, just company product ads.”
Zhou Ran gritted her teeth, muttering, “No way Xu Ling is really that pretty…”
As Song Kai and Zhou Ran horsed around, the boys in the back row could barely contain themselves.
“Bro, what do we do? Can’t you see Zhou Ran obviously likes Song Kai more now? She just offered up her chest!”
“Yeah, and they’re huge. If only I were Song Kai’s arm…”
Chen Haijun bit his lip, growling, “Shut up, all of you! That punk won’t be smug for long. No matter how good he is at fighting, he’s finished this time!”
He clenched his fist, snapping the pen in his hand. After a moment, he grinned. So what if Song Kai knew martial arts? In this world, money is king! I’ll throw down twenty thousand yuan—today, Song Kai, you’re getting expelled!
