Chapter Sixty-Eight: Not Mine, and a Little Bigger
“Are you really not going to let go?” Anhe issued a final warning, but Rena Serizawa paid no heed. Seeing this, Anhe narrowed his eyes, and with a sudden motion, flipped them over so that he pinned her beneath him.
“Mm!” Rena Serizawa let out a startled cry, but Anhe’s hand had already slipped under the hem of her clothes. The moment his fingertips grazed her smooth, soft skin, Rena stiffened as if struck by lightning, even her lips instinctively loosening their grip.
Realizing she’d stirred up trouble, she wanted to beg for mercy, but when she opened her mouth, no words came out. In the end, she could only look at Anhe with those large, misty eyes, full of helpless pleading.
Being gazed at like that, Anhe’s breath grew heavier. The scent of lavender lingered at his nose, and the softness beneath his fingers made his throat tighten involuntarily.
Sensing his change, Rena seemed to guess his intentions. A blush rapidly spread across her cheeks until, finally, she simply tilted her head back and closed her eyes.
Seeing her surrender, Anhe hesitated no more. He lowered his head and gradually leaned in.
Soft, sweet, and warm, like two pieces of jelly. Yet, because Rena Serizawa kept her lips pressed tightly shut, Anhe couldn’t go further for the moment. His hands, however, did not remain idle...
...
An hour later.
With a click, the door opened.
Yui Serizawa, as usual, hung her satchel on the coat rack by the entrance and prepared to change her shoes. Suddenly, she noticed the two pairs of shoes on the entryway floor.
She recognized the smaller pair as her sister’s. But the larger ones...
“These look like Anhe’s shoes, don’t they?” Yui frowned, a sense of unease rising within her.
She quickly slipped off her shoes and, staying silent, crept toward the living room.
“See? I told you it feels nice, didn’t I, Rena?” A man’s voice suddenly called out, making Yui freeze in her tracks. Before she could react, a delicate moan sounded.
“Mmm~”
It was brief, but Yui recognized it as her sister’s voice.
“W-wait, what’s going on?” Yui’s face flushed red, indecent images flashing through her mind. But she quickly shook her head.
“No, no, no. My sister may like Anhe, but they’re not even together yet. There’s no way they’d do anything like that. I’m overthinking it! Yes, that’s it!”
She tried to reassure herself, but just as she finished, voices came from the living room again.
“Get ready, I’m going to go a little harder now!”
“Okay!”
The brief exchange pierced through Yui’s final hopes like a lance.
Without caring about anything else, she gritted her teeth and charged out.
“You two idiots! How could you do that at home—” Yui’s words caught in her throat when she saw the two of them sitting neatly on the sofa, clothes immaculate, looking at her in surprise. For a moment, she stood frozen, her mind blank.
Anhe and Rena both turned in surprise at the sudden commotion. Seeing that it was Yui, Anhe asked curiously, “Yui, you’re home early today?”
“Huh?” Anhe’s voice brought Yui back to her senses. Flustered, she explained, “Y-yeah, I had PE and home economics this afternoon, so I told them I had something to do at home and got permission to leave early.”
“Your school is really that lenient?” Anhe raised an eyebrow, quietly slipping his hand into his pocket.
Yui didn’t notice his motion, her gaze darting between the two. After a moment’s hesitation, her curiosity got the better of her. “What were you two doing just now?”
Anhe pointed at the thermos cup beside him and chuckled, “Your sister’s on her period. I was just warming her stomach with a hot water bottle.”
“She’s on her period?” Yui exclaimed, ignoring the rest of his explanation. She hurried over to Rena’s side and squatted down anxiously. “Sis, how are you feeling? Are you uncomfortable anywhere?”
Touched by her concern, Rena shook her head gently, signaling that she was fine.
“How could you be fine?” Yui clearly didn’t believe her. She pressed a small hand to Rena’s cheek, worried. “You’re burning up! Wait, I’ll go get you some hot water.”
With that, Yui got up and hurried to the kitchen, missing the way Rena’s cheeks flushed an even deeper red after her words.
Once she was gone, the two in the living room let out a sigh of relief.
Rena gave Anhe a heavy smack. When he looked her way, she bared her teeth at him in mock anger, eyes wide.
She looked so cute pretending to be fierce that Anhe blinked, then suddenly made a grabbing gesture at her. Rena, seeing this, puffed out a noise like boiling water, raising her hand as if to hit him again, but Anhe dodged deftly out of reach.
“All right, all right, since Yui’s home, I should get going too,” Anhe said, gathering his thermos and school uniform from the sofa.
Seeing him about to leave, Rena stopped her teasing, quickly picked up her sketchpad and pen, scribbled something, then held it up.
“Take care on your way home. See you tomorrow!”
“See you tomorrow!” Anhe mimed a last grab, then before Rena could react, walked quickly toward the entrance.
Only after leaving the Serizawa house did Anhe finally relax.
Just moments before Yui burst in, he’d been lying atop Rena, savoring her, and if not for the timely intervention of the omniscient narrator, he might have been on his knees clinging to Yui’s leg, begging her not to call the police.
Thinking of this, Anhe slipped his hand into his pocket and pulled out a pink, lavender-scented bandeau.
He’d stripped it from Rena earlier, but with Yui arriving so suddenly, he’d had no time to hide it anywhere else, so he’d stuffed it into his pocket.
“I’ll just return it to her tomorrow,” he sighed, tucking it back into his pocket and heading downstairs.
On the return train, Anhe pondered a question the whole way.
Why did Ito Nobue’s taste milky, while Rena Serizawa’s didn’t?
He didn’t find an answer by the time the train arrived. Shrugging it off, he made his way to the gates of Kita Academy.
After waiting more than half an hour, the dismissal bell finally rang, and students began trickling out.
Scanning the crowd, Anhe soon spotted a figure with a red scarf.
“Over here!” he called.
Sawu Amemiya noticed him and smiled as she approached, but as she drew near, her smile faded.
Oh no, the scent!
Anhe’s heart skipped a beat, remembering her uncanny sense of smell. He was about to explain, but Sawu had already turned to leave.
Seeing this, Anhe grimaced and hurried to catch up.
All the way home, Sawu kept her distance, but in the end, unable to resist Anhe’s persistence, she finally shared her scarf with him.
When they arrived home, before Sawu could speak, Anhe took the initiative to head straight for the bathroom, making sure to hide Rena Serizawa’s bandeau as he went.
It took him dozens of minutes to wash away every trace of scent. When he emerged and shyly asked Sawu for a cuddle, she no longer refused him.
But this only lasted until evening...
In the bathroom, Anhe and Sawu sorted the laundry together.
While digging through his pockets, Sawu pulled out a pair of white stockings.
She looked at him, puzzled. Scratching his head, Anhe awkwardly explained, “Those are yours. I forgot to wash them after using them yesterday…”
He expected Sawu to be embarrassed, but instead, her face grew cold. She tossed the stockings back at him and walked out. Only after she left did her voice float back.
“Those aren’t my stockings.”
“They’re not yours?” Anhe blinked in surprise, automatically bringing the stockings to his nose. A faint scent of lavender drifted up…
Meanwhile, at the Serizawa house.
Having stuffed the white stockings she’d found in Anhe’s uniform into her closet, Rena Serizawa let out a sigh of relief. She prayed silently,
“I hope Yuusei doesn’t do anything perverted anymore. But if he does… at least let him use mine.”
Just then, the door opened and Yui entered with a cup of hot water.
“Sis, have some—” Yui’s words cut off as she stared in disbelief at Rena, who stood before the full-length mirror, not a stitch on her body. Frowning, Yui asked, “Sis, did you sneak some coconut milk? Why do I feel like you’ve gotten a little bigger?”
Second update! Just a quick note: today I officially resigned from my job. No need to persuade me otherwise, everyone. It was just a regular factory job, eight to nine every day, not exactly a golden rice bowl. Worst case, I’ll just find another one later.
