Beside the flickering campfire, sneezes came one after another.

Because she had fallen into the water, Amamiya Saori was soaked through from head to toe. And since Anhe had not brought any spare clothes, the girl could only curl up naked inside a sleeping bag, writhing about like a caterpillar.

Achoo!

Another sneeze rang out. Amamiya Saori sniffled, then rolled herself and the sleeping bag over the cushion and toward Anhe’s side.

She stared at the grilled fish in front of him, which was already giving off a rich, mouthwatering aroma, and swallowed hard before asking, “Can I eat it yet?”

“Nope.”

Anhe’s answer was merciless. He had only just sprinkled the seasoning on the fish; if they ate it now, the flavor would be far worse.

“Just one little bite~”

Amamiya Saori blinked her big eyes in an attempt to look cute, but Anhe merely turned his head away.

“Stingy. They’re fish I caught, too.”

She muttered under her breath, then rolled herself and the sleeping bag over once more until she reached her sister, Amamiya Sagiri.

Before she could even speak, however, the other girl had already handed her a skewer of fragrant grilled meat.

Seeing this, Amamiya Saori quickly slipped a hand out of the sleeping bag and accepted the skewer, grinning as she said, “Hehe, big sister really is the best. Unlike that Anhe guy—what a miser.”

“You little rascal.”

Amamiya Sagiri fondly ruffled her younger sister’s hair.

The meat she had grilled was pre-made meat bought during the day, so all she had to do was season it and watch the heat.

Time passed. The campfire crackled. Before long, Anhe’s fish was done as well.

He wrapped them in foil and brought them one by one to the center of the cushion, then nudged Amamiya Saori with a teasing smile.

“Didn’t you say you wanted fish? It’s grilled now. Come try it and see whether it’s tastier than that charcoal stick you made.”

“I did not grill charcoal!”

Though she said so, one of Amamiya Saori’s small hands had already slipped free of her control, pinching the corner of the foil and tugging it toward herself.

She was still curled up in the sleeping bag, though half of her body had been exposed for ease of movement.

Her pale, delicate collarbone. Arms like polished jade. And faintly, one could even glimpse the soft swell of her chest.

She looked like a mermaid still in the midst of growing up.

As if sensing his gaze, Amamiya Saori, who had been about to dig in with gusto, suddenly turned her head.

Their eyes met, and a narrator’s voice slowly rose in Anhe’s mind.

A madman sharpens his blade at night; the imperial star drifts, and Mars ascends! Since you have already been found out, why not strike while the night is deep and the world is silent? By Amamiya Saori’s temperament, as long as you keep her from making a sound, she will likely give up resisting by the time you reach the city. Conveniently, in your pocket is the pair of panties she just changed out of; they would make the perfect gag...

Raising an eyebrow, Anhe calmly withdrew his gaze and, as though on a whim, reached into his pocket. Sure enough, his fingers found a damp silk garment.

On the other side, when Amamiya Saori saw him look away, she let out a breath of relief and then subconsciously glanced down at her chest.

Mm...

It was not too obvious, but one could still just barely tell that what lay there was not her back.

Amamiya Saori remembered that Anhe had once told her about a friend of his who was one year older than she was, yet when lying on a sofa, no one could tell front from back.

It was easy to imagine just how pitiful that person must be.

Though, in truth, she was not doing much better herself...

At that thought, Amamiya Saori could not help glancing at Amamiya Sagiri beside her, who was sipping milk in small mouthfuls.

“If only... if only I were half as big as big sister, no, even a third as big.”

“A third as big as me?”

Amamiya Sagiri turned back in confusion. She had vaguely heard something just now.

Hearing this, Amamiya Saori was startled and only then realized that she had said her inner thoughts aloud. She hurriedly waved her hands.

“N-nothing. Big sister must have heard wrong.”

“Is that so?”

Amamiya Sagiri looked a little skeptical. She had a strange feeling about the way her sister had just been looking at her.

But after shaking her head, she did not probe further and turned back around, continuing to sip her milk in small, quiet mouthfuls.

Grilled fish, grilled meat, and some fruit, sweets, and drinks bought during the day made for a rather sumptuous dinner.

As time passed, the sunset had long since vanished.

After the meal, the three of them did not rush to clear away the dishes. Instead, they lay down on the cushions with their heads touching, gazing up at the stars.

Far from the bustle of the city, the night sky was pitch-black, with only the stars casting their faint light.

They were strewn across the heavens like pearls scattered over a dark veil. Some shone as brilliantly as diamonds, some glimmered like candle flames, and some flickered softly with light.

In the night sky, they formed all manner of patterns—flying birds, or perhaps cute little rabbits.

The air was damp and fresh, and a faint chill breeze brushed past.

Before he realized it, steady breaths were rising from beside Anhe.

Turning his head, he saw that Amamiya Sagiri had already closed her eyes and drifted into a nap.

She was like a sleeping beauty from a fairy tale.

Her fair cheeks had turned faintly red from the cold wind, and here and there upon her downy skin, tiny snowflakes could be seen.

Her long, narrow lashes were slightly curled, her petite nose delicate and exquisite, her cherry lips red as petals.

After looking for a while, Anhe could not help swallowing.

“How is it? Isn’t big sister very beautiful?”

The voice that suddenly sounded beside him pulled Anhe back from his daze.

Turning around, he saw that Amamiya Saori had somehow rolled over beside him and was also looking in Amamiya Sagiri’s direction.

“Don’t you want to kiss her?”

She was still muttering to herself, her twin golden ponytails draped carelessly over the cushion.

Hearing her words, Anhe could not help but chuckle softly. He turned back to the stars and said offhandedly, “I’ve already kissed her many times. One more time won’t make a difference. Let her rest properly.”

The surroundings fell quiet for a moment, and then came the rustle of movement.

Before Anhe could turn his head, a pale figure had climbed onto him.

Her golden twin tails hung by his ears, and as Anhe looked up at Amamiya Saori so close above him, he was briefly taken aback.

She was looking at him too, a faint blush visible on her pretty face.

When he did not speak, Amamiya Saori could not help asking, “Then... do you want to try with me?”

“Try... what?”

Anhe’s mouth had gone a little dry.

And in the next instant, Amamiya Saori gave him the answer.

A warm sensation touched his lips.

White snowflakes drifted down from the sky, settling quietly upon the ground and covering all things across the earth. The branches were laden with snow, like strings of white jewels shimmering with a soft light.

Under the hush of night, two figures gradually embraced one another...
