Lu Yiqi also brought along a set of math test papers.

Fighting off her drowsiness, she opened the test papers and began working on the problems. Xie Xu watched her, occasionally glancing at his phone.
Ten minutes later, Lu Yiqi had solved two multiple-choice questions but had already yawned twelve times.
Xie Xu frowned. “Do you want to sleep?”
“Of course,” she replied almost instinctively.
“Alright.” Xie Xu pulled the papers from her hand and set them aside, then took the pen from her grip, capped it, and placed it on top of the papers. “Go upstairs and sleep.”
“Huh???”
You woke me up to study, and now that I’m studying, you’re telling me to sleep?

Seeing her unmoved, Xie Xu asked, “Aren’t you going?”
“But… what about you if I go to sleep?”
“I’m heading home to play games. I’ll come back for you this afternoon.”
“…Oh.”
Xie Xu stared at her for two seconds, then reached out and gently tapped her head. His voice was soft, both coaxing and affectionate, lingering in the air, “Be good, go get some sleep.”

Then Lu Yiqi turned around and headed upstairs.

Before Xie Xu could answer, Lu Yiqi jumped in, “Mom, he’s not here just to visit. Xie Xu is helping me with my studies. Didn’t I tell you not to hire a tutor? My classmate is helping me instead.”
“So the classmate you mentioned is Xiao Xie? What about Xiao Yan? I’m sure I saw him tutoring you last time.”
“No, I haven’t finished, Mom. The one I asked was a girl I’m close to, but she couldn’t make it today, so Yan Yi filled in for her once. For now, Xie Xu is helping me because of some reasons.”
