Xie Xu listened patiently until she finished, then answered, “All right.”

Lu Yiqi beamed.

Blinded by such a generous “reward,” she completely forgot that her original intention had been not to help Xie Xu fend off the peach blossoms around him.

By noon, after an uneventful morning, Lu Yiqi casually browsed the school forum, hoping for a bit of gossip, and opened one of the trending posts.

Its title was “The Sweet Romance Between the Big Shot and the Transfer Student.”

Right now, she very much wanted to drag that “thoughtful alumnus” out and beat them up.

She stared at the words “thoughtful alumnus” for several seconds.

Then she scrolled upward abruptly.

Above the image was the post text. One passage read:

This morning I went to the cafeteria for breakfast and saw this super handsome guy. I was going to ask for his contact information, but he turned me down and told me he already had a girlfriend. And do you know what? When the handsome guy told me he had a girlfriend, he said, “Now that I have such a beautiful girlfriend, I can’t look at other girls anymore.” Just imagine how indulgent he sounded when he said that!

Then he took his meal to find the girl, and the two of them sat together eating and talking. The scene of such a handsome man and beautiful woman was simply too lovely to behold!
